I tried a few drains before obtaining this one and had issues with all the others. Silicone slowed leaks but didn't stop them and plumbers putty did nothing. Thinking the problem may be me and my inability to do simple things, I visited a plumbing supply store with this drain in hand before installing it. I was told that the gaskets on this are flexible and pliable - very important when they need to plug up and existing sink. But the assembly was missing one key thing - something to go between the larger gasket and the jamb nut. As you tighten the jamb nut and it starts rubbing against the gasket, it creates friction that can actually pull the gasket out of place and cause leaks. I was told to cut a circle out of a cereal box and place that under the gasket and above the jamb nut when I stalling the drain. Just having that cardboard there prevents the jamb nut from pulling at the gasket during tightening. And guess what? NO LEAKS! I had putty and silicone at the ready and didn't have to use either. That one simple trick worked wonders. That, combined with the build quality of this drain, checked one more thing off my headache list.

This is a heavy duty piece of plumbing . The body is metal with a brass nut, the washers supplied are high quality rubber. Putting this on in a small space is a breeze and you dont have to work on the mechanics of most faucet pop ups especially the big box store lavatory options. Has a nice feel when you operate it and it easier pulls out to clean the screen. It's genius and I'd bet few even use the sink in a way that requires filling sink. The visual parts are larger and cover the stains and gouges of previous pop ups.

Install went incredibly well. Everything was included in the box. Didn't require any caulk. Took more time removing old drain then installing new one.

Pop up sticks up to high when is open, works fine, I tried to adjust it with the small screw but it did nothing?

This is worth the money; a high quality product that has hair catcher & pop-up stopper. Forget about the messing plumber's putty cause it has plastic gaskets, and even an extra pop-up gasket. Clear & concise directions to make sure the gaskets are facing the right direction also! No brainer! Get it!
