I got this just for loads of towels and sheets, but have started using it for all my laundry, since it cleans well and really does get the funk out. A bunch of the pods were broken open in the first bag I got, but I just dumped the powder into a canister and used a scoop for the last of the detergent. The second bag was fine, so it seems to have been a shipping problem.

Awesome awesome.Between two xxl male dogs, 2 very athletic men in the house and the general dust and dirt of summer, this blows away everything i have tried in 30 yrs.Stench and dirt = GONEI really did use only one little scoop for most loads and I'm super pleased.One of my dogs is 'intact', that can be worse than a teenager's laundry hamper. His bed was disgusting. Oxyclean and Shout help somewhat but this Defunkify got rid of 100% of the smell. I had read about it initially for stinky athletic gear but now i use it for 80% of my laundry. Yes, It's more expensive initially but you use only 1/4 other detergents require (if that much) .

I like Definkify - gets out stinky teen/boy-man funk without trying to cover it up with a scent. My only complaint is that the packets in my last batch have not been dissolving properly (in any temp water) so I had to start cutting them open before throwing in my (HE) washer - kinda defeats the purpose.

Oh my gosh, it actually works!!! My husband’s gym clothes were super funky. The funk would stay in the clothes and then, during each workout, he would add another layer of funk to the funk foundation. Not only that, but his clothes were spreading the funk to our other laundry. Yes, you read that right; his clothes were getting funky with my clothes in the hamper each night!!! Disgusting!! I ordered Defunkify Active Wash because I read about it on a Hyperhidrosis online forum. Hyperhidrosis is a condition where your body sweats profusely, usually without a trigger. (Sexy, I know!) The first time I used it on my husband’s gym clothes; I couldn’t believe my nose!! It truly defunked the clothes!!! I highly recommend this product to anyone who is in a funky situation like I was!!! Free the Funk!

I have tried a couple of the "sport" detergents, and this is definitely the best. The only issue that I have had is sometimes the pods don't dissolve all the way, luckily it always dissolves if I run that through the wash again.Much recommend!!!!

The packets don't work very well in my machine, and it is a lower value than the powder version. I ordered it by mistake, and I'll never order it in this form again. I've been using this brand for three years now, and I hope they don't try to make this product only in packet form. I will be on the hunt for a new brand if that happens. But very convenient for travel, I'm sure. If I were to bring my own detergent on a trip, I guess I would order the packets again. But compared to the loose powder, the packets are just extra goo in the wash, way less product for your money, and no option of customizing how much you use (less for lingerie, more for socks, the most for the dog's bed). Loose powder devotee forever...don't stop offering it or you will lose this customer.

I have a top load washer with an agitator. I use 2 packs for my towels, and sometimes I use cold (which is my standard) by accident. Always use the extra rinse option, too. I definitely don't get that weird mildew smell anymore. I also use it on my gardening/workout clothes, and on my bedsheets. I use wool dryer balls.. No fragrance that i have noticed. I am so happy to have found this, and have now bought my 2nd pack of 40. Definitely recommend!

I first encountered this product when I received a sample at an expo before my first half-marathon. I have some running clothes that simply would not let go of the BO smell no matter how many times they were washed but after using ONE load of defunkify the smelly runners sweat was gone!I found it on Amazon immediately and have a subscription so I never run out. I have found it is also excellent removing stains from my fiance's pillows (he drools in his sleep) and just about anything smelly you could imagine.Miracle product, truly!
