I have 80% hearing loss in one ear compared to the other and I have tried a number of Bluetooth earbuds to get stereo back for music and video. This system is the best I've seen. The main reason is probably that it is NOT Bluetooth but is a dedicated one-way RF wireless (wifi) connection. I know this because the transmitter and receiver will not pair with any Bluetooth audio device, has much better volume and fidelity than the best (Samsung) Bluetooth earbuds, has NO audio latency with video, and stays connected with no signal loss through at least four house walls 50 feet distant. The best part is the receiver has a good balance control that provides me with equal hifi stereo at more than enough volume. The transmitter has three pre-defined sound "modes" besides flat but I would prefer treble/bass controls instead. The supplied earbuds look cheap and small but are surprisingly very good and are, for my ears, the most comfortable I've tried, although you can just plug in your own headset. My only complaint is the earbuds leads are too short but an extension cord solves that. It not only comes with an extra battery but the transmitter/charger has a separate charging port for that in addition to the receiver's charging port. The battery is proprietary so you can only get replacements from the vendor, probably the only real negative. They supply adapters for just about any audio connection you can think of and even a mike for old TVs that have no external connector. Finally, there's a big button on the receiver that turns the earbuds into a two-ear ambient hearing aid that is actually very good, although mono only. The ads show old people wearing the neck cord, which appears to be the antenna, but I just coil it up and put the receiver in my pocket. This system is well worth the price.

This product was so quick and easy to install that I was enjoying a program within minutes of receiving it. There are several options to hook up to the TV - all are easy to work with. Now my family and I can enjoy the same show without having to have the volume so loud. The option to have ambient sound at the click of a button is even better - I can have a conversation or not. It was like surround sound (being hard of hearing, I'm not sure I've ever appreciated that so much). We are still working out some issues but so far they are very minor - the headset doesn't work with all broadcasts but that is probably an error on my part. Most programs are seamless. This is a great product and a great price! Update: After I posted this review, Avantree followed up with me and cleared up all, yes all, of my issues. I love this product and the customer service so much that when I was looking for another device to with my new bluetooth speakers, Avantree was the company I wanted to work with. I've got the product and both of these are great items. I highly recommend this product and the company.

Just after 16 months the device can't connect with the base transmitter. So I start a "TICKET" and soon find myself getting frustrated for answering the same multiple questions over and over. Then when I ask for different support person, I get "We are sorry for that, if your product was purchased through amazon we only have 12 months warranty for replacement and refund." What a waste of time! I have found the Sennheiser SET 840 S costs less and works better.

Liked that is was small, compact, easy to connect. However, I apparently have a problem with one ear and could not use the ear buds. Great sound quality but I had to return item for a model with headphones.

I bought this item for my 92 year old mother, and she claims that she could not hear her TV any better. Well, I put this up to her being a Luddite, her rabbit-ear TV set, and her really poor hearing. I assisted her in getting the device properly configured, but in the end it was just not for her. However, I tried out the device myself before I gave it to her, and I thought it was GREAT! It really could not be easier to use. The sound quality was good (for me), the instructions were very easy to follow, and the device came with so many adapters for TV sets and ear-bud fittings that it is truly a universal product. The product quality (assembly, fit-and-finish. compact size) are superb. It seems like an excellent value for the price. I would like to give this product 4.5 stars (since, in the end, it did not work for my superannuated mother - sort of the intended audience), but I figured a 4-star rating would penalize the manufacturer for my mothers shortcomings.

I needed a decent set of earphones that could be used while my wife sleeps and I can’t. They are okay for the price but the sound quality is a bit tinny. Connecting them to the television wasn’t too bad, and they supply different cords that should connect to most tv’s. They serve the purpose and again for the price, I would consider buying again, or suggest them to family and friends.

This is my second one, my first one the two batteries came apart, but I loved the sound and the only way I could find to get new batteries was to buy the whole system. If they sold batteries I would have given it 5 stars for the great sound.

To adjust my hearing for left & right ears - I can put aside my hearing aids that don't always produce 'good' acceptable sound
