Maxtrax Mini Recovery Boards

These are shorter than expected. Given the amount of room I had to mount them, they worked out well. Thankfully, I've yet needed to use them.

These easily fit into the crowed trunk of my Jeep Renegade Trailhawk and recently proved themselves when I got stuck good and hard on a deep snowy road. Pulled these guys out and with just a couple tries got myself extracted. Used them a couple times on that road. At one point was struggling to move forward uphill with them so put them behind the tires instead to back up onto then launch forward and that worked. The orange straps are great for spotting and recovering the boards once they get buried. Carefully inspected them at home the next day and saw no signs of damage despite somewhat aggressive use. Might be too small for a larger vehicle but perfect for a Renegade.

Work great for leveling the camper.

Reading the instructions, you’re not supposed to use these when temperature is below 14 degrees Fahrenheit. I live in Maine - would not have bought these if I’d known that. Otherwise they look and feel really rugged. The 24” length is manageable for a side-by-side. 48” wouldn’t be. Goldilocks thinks 30” would be perfect for my machine, but these could fit on a big ATV too.

I haven't actually used these yet but they are impressively made. Obviously tough and well thought out. Heavy duty and not super light, but for their strength they are lightweight and portable. It was easy to find a cubby in my rig for these to go. I'm glad I didn't get the longer ones.
