I tried two other styles of sun shades before biting the bullet and spending more money on this one. The first was a cheaper flexible internal frame style. It was fine once you had it in place, but getting the hang of twisting it all around to put it away was more trouble than it was worth (although I did like how compact it got). The second was a sort of semi-rigid roll up one that was definitely easier to put away than the first one, but because it gets rolled up to put away, the edges stayed curled and it just didn’t fit right, it also took up a lot of space when rolled. This one folds like an accordion into rigid segments. It maintains its shape when put up and folds up into a single flat stack. It takes up storage room in the sense that it is as long as your windshield is tall, but because it is made of flat segments it fits well in the space under the back seat. It’s easy to use and provides great coverage that blocks out plenty of sun. My truck is black with a black interior, it gets super hot when parked in the sun. This shade makes a very noticeable difference and I believe it will protect my dash from becoming brittle and cracked. A little cumbersome but the best choice in my opinion.

It works well. It folds and unfolds and blocks out the sun, thus helping keep my vehicle cooler and protected. It’s thick. It’s durable. It’s shady. And, it helps me hidden from prying eyes when I’m hiding in the car.

Had this for my truck and it’s been dependable. It’s super easy to put up and take down. Husky is great at fitting true to size for your vehicle as well as quality. I will say over time the silver did start to tear from the frequent folding, but it does get crazy hot so I don’t blame it on just poor quality. I also will note that although it does fold nicely it’s still technically not the most convenient thing to store in your vehicle because it’s more stiff. But it’s give and take with that.

It says that this is a custom fit for the the F-150 lightning. This actually does not fit in any way shape or form, The side is too long and the cut out is not big enough when you put the sunshade through the mirror. Another minor thing is it says that it is made in the USA however there is a giant sticker that says made in China right on it when you get it out of the box. I have one straight from Ford on my other car and although it is thinner it fits perfectly. This one is thicker with a little bit of better lining however that doesn't do much if it doesn't fit. The outside of the sunshade is the same material as the one straight from Ford. This one also does not come with a holder to place it in when you fold it up. You just have to fold it up. I'm regretting not paying the extra $15 and just getting the standard one straight from Ford.

I don't know what happened but the shield separated the first time used in the heat. Also it does not fit a F150 windshield, it is short at the top. I don't know if they shortened it for easier install. but it was short enough for heat to seep in at the top of the windshield and then at the bottom of the shield it separated. I have another shield by Husky, bought 6 years ago for another car and it works just fine and has lasted so far so it must be the material difference. Failed in quality so I sent it back.

Fits my F150 perfectly. This is not a cheap window shade you buy at Walmart or the Auto Parts store. Custom fitted, thick material, durable and keeps the truck cool

I bought this thinking the higher price would yield better quality. It is heavy duty and folds easily, but the materials inside that make it stiff over a few months in summer sun sag, and after about 6 months it barely would stay in place and sagged so bad it became very hard to keep from falling out of the window. It did fit my 2017 Ford F-150 window well while it lasted. Good concept, poor execution. Wound up buying a umbrella type sunshade which works much better, is more compact, lighter, and works well.
