The Whole-Brain Child Workbook: Practical Exercises, Worksheets and Activitis to Nurture Developing Minds Review: Practical Science - Very Worth it! - As a new social worker counseling middle schoolers, this workbook has been beyond helpful. It provided practical, science-based interventions that has made a difference in my work and the lives of the students with whom I work. Gone are the days of power struggles with 12 year olds! Review: Great book for parents who really want to help their children grow and reach their full potential - Great book for nurturing creativity and success at an early age. I have three children who are natural artists like their Father and we really want to help them reach their full potential. This workbook along with the main book is a good book to have in your collection. My oldest son has many homework struggles and there is practical advice and activities for making real change in this area and many other areas. The cartoons and graphs make the workbook more entertaining and functional. This a good tool for any parent. Books like this are important, but don't forget to make nutrition the cornerstone of everything. Children need DHA from fish oils and healthy food. I hope this review helps.

For every single parent ever!
"The Whole-Brain Child" book has been a true game-changer in my parenting journey. Its insightful and practical approach to understanding children's developing brains has not only improved my parenting but has also deepened my connection with my kids. I've found the strategies and techniques outlined in the book to be invaluable in helping my children navigate their emotions and build resilience. The authors' ability to blend scientific research with real-world applications makes the content easy to grasp and apply in everyday life. This book is a must-read for any parent seeking a more empathetic, effective, and harmonious approach to raising children.

Useful for teaching parents
The book is helpful and an easy read. It doesn't have a bunch of one-page interventions/handouts like I was hoping (it is usually multiple pages but at least there are great descriptions to explain to people who haven't been TBRI trained). I am taking away a star because the packaging was NOT waterproof. It was delivered in a cardboard box without a bag seal. It was raining heavily and the cardboard was soaked. Thankfully I got home in time so there was only a little bit of water damage (wiggly pages). None of the ink was blurred and none of the pages were stuck together. Because of that, I'm going to keep the book and continue to utilize it in my therapy practice.

Helping Me Become A Better Parent
This is so great because I'm working to understand my child and also my own strategy (or lack of strategy) as a mother. I'm a single mom and I grew up with distant parents so I need all the help I can get. This book has already provided me with the opportunity to bend down at my child's level (instead of tower over her) and be more patient with my 3 yo. The writing in it takes some time but it's worth it. It's made a lasting impression on me and I'm only 20 pages in!

Excellent insight
This is so helpful. It forces me to really dig deep and put things into words, into an order which let's me be more mindful and gives me more resources to pull from in the stressful moments. I feel that my daughter's behavior has improved from the change in my approach and she is able to calm herself faster and easier, which relieves my stress and improves our relationship overall. I paired this Brene Brown Gifts of imperfect parenting class, but that is no longer available for purchase.
