60 Cap Bottle 240mg 20:1 whole herb extract of polypodium leucotomos

I bought this to help stimulate collagen production in my skin, I wasn't sure if it would really help protect my skin from the sun (sounded like some sort of witchcraft). Anyway, I live in southern AZ and attended my beloved cousin's wedding in June, yes 115 degree June. I had been taking this supplement for about a month (one cap a day, which is half the recommended dosage) and was shocked to see how well it worked. The wedding started off a little chaotically and I helped finish up some last minute decorations and set-ups outside while the wedding got underway inside the chapel. I was not anticipating doing this and spent close to an hour out in FULL AZ sun from 3-4pm. I was not wearing sunscreen on my shoulders, back, neck or chest. As it was hot, I was essentially wearing a fancy sundress with a lot of skin exposure. I expected to be burned to a crisp as I have experienced pretty much every summer since I was born. To my surprise, when I got home and set about to survey the damage, there was none. Zero. I wasn't pink, red or the slightest uncomfortable. This stuff works and I'll keep taking it from here on out. I have no idea why I had never heard about it before!

I have type 1 or type 2 complexion, very pale and fair, so I burn easily. I use topical sunblock and hats, etc, but sometimes they wash off. With this product I can spend several times as much time in the sun as normal, and not get burned.Works best when taken at least an hour before sun exposure, works even better when taken daily.If you burn easily I recommend still using aome SPF on exposed areas like face/neck, and experiment gradually to see how the product works for you.

So far so good, since the weather is cooler and I'm not in the sun as much I only take one pill instead if the recommended dose. My skin seems to have more of a glow after three weeks of usage, so I'm definitely going to continue to buy this product and in the summer time I'll definitely should have built up a good enough tolerance against those uv rays.

I developed a reaction to the sun in my early 20's that has steadily progressed each year to the point where I could go outside for a half hour (with store bought 30+spf) and my exposed skin would break out in an itchy rash. A day at the beach became very unpleasant and I looooove the beach! Eventually it got to the point that even covered skin would start breaking out... while I was under a tent!! I'm way to stubborn to give up on something I love so I have searched hours upon hours for things that would help prevent my condition. It has taken years of pain, discomfort, and itch... and finally last year's combo seems to have done the trick. In addition to taking solicare as directed (plus taking a day or two in advance if I know I'll be outdoors), I made homemade sunscreen that I found on pinterest. Consists of mostly coconut oil, about a 1/4 raw mango butter, a small amount of lanolin and lemongrass essential oil- that helps keep away mosquitos (I belive I purchased all of this on amazon). I didn't burn once last year and was able to get 3-4 full days in at the beach without any rash!! Give this stuff a try! I believe it's all natural ingredients and really made a huuuuge difference in my summer:)

Snake oil.

I burn really easy and need something to help. I tried it and though it was helping me at first since I didn't see my skin turn red immediately as it usually does. I had on spf 30 also. i was out in the sun doing yard work for about 4 hours and still go burnt. I think it may have helped but did not save me from a burn but may have lessened it. I'll try again but it is no miracle.

Absolutely a life saver!! I discovered that I developed an allergy to the sun about 2 years ago. My skin would get VERY red and small bumps would appear, almost looking like poison ivy or oak. I couldn't even keep my arm out the window or near the sun in the summer out the window while driving. Within minutes the tops of my hands and my arms would be covered in bumps and I could feel the pain when the sun hit my arms. I tried cortisone, daily allergy pills and nothing worked. Taking these for a couple weeks has given me my life back, I love the sun. Coupled with zinc sunscreen I can now actually tan a little! Little to no bumps. I actually started to take 2, twice a day if I knew I would be exposed for long periods of time, such as on the boat or kayaking. PMLE is NO longer with this supplement!! I almost cried when I noticed the results. Thanks Solaricare!! I live in NYS where the summers are brief and I want to enjoy them to the fullest. Now I can.

Being it's getting cooler, I haven't much use but when I took it last week and went to the beach/shore (minus sunblock as I wasn't expecting to stay too long) I didn't burn or even redden! Normally, I would but this time I didn't with the UV index up around 8 and I stayed for at least four and a half hours. It may have been a fluke, but my arms haven't been burned either while I drive so there is something to this product I like!
