They need to make the holding clips less mousetrap like and more user friendly and the pad isn't flat in the area where the clips go through the board but a clean towel and a iron fixed it perfectly but not everyone will be able to figure that out and won't know that until after they have made low groove lines like you would get by sanding with your finger's in a up and down pointing at 12 o'clock pushing harder with the finger tips rather than hand turned at a 45 and keeping the pressure spread across the whole plane of the hand. Point is there are spots where the clips mount that can mess up a paint job that a inexperienced Body man would not notice until the paint shows the line grooves

This longboard sander's finish is very poor. The grip was extremely rough and I doubt saw any sanding prior to varnish. After several minutes of sanding the handle and grip, I was able to continue sanding my project without tearing up my hands. The clips to hold the sandpaper are very cheap bent metal and hopefully will hold up over the the long term.A few more minutes in the final finishing stages of manufacturing would improve this product considerably. In the meantime, be prepared to rework their sloppy finish job to save your hands from the rough surface.

This in no way will blocksand anything flat. It has screws or rivets protruding under the foam backer. Not to mention when you hold it on a piece of glass it is curved because the aluminum plate is curved at one end. No way.

Well made sander, great for getting panels straight.

4 stars because it's not perfect but gets the job done. Backing plate is nice, no flex.Has a couple dimples on backing where it mounts but won't effect work. Looking tabs a little flimsy.Overall worth the money. Could be a half inch shorter and paper would lock in much nicer.Still a good buy
