Would the 6months+ set be suitable for my 24 month old ?

I'd get the older set for a 2 year old. 6month+ are quite small and the fork doesn't really fork, which my now 17month old doesn't appreciate! Ok for younger ones but once they get better with cutlery the older set is better

Are these the same size as the metal ones? Also is thr fork useable for a child who can use a fork? Thinking to buy as a travel set.
