Uncle Hu knows what to do.
We were looking for a security camera with night vision capabilities, and we needed to place it in a tree across from a certain spot, with no access to AC power. This Uncle Hu device was the perfect find. Captured the perp the first night. Now the police are sorting things out. The right price, IR capability, motion sensing, and 4K video. Honestly, I can't see the difference between 1080 and 4K, but maybe others can. Great picture quality for a low cost camera. The manual is a little confusing, but here's a tip - all setup is done in TEST mode, then hit the MENU button. You'll see the switch on the bottom. The ON button is used when the unit is armed and ready to catch your own perpetrator. Overall, we like it!PROS:-- Pretty decent photos and HD video, in full light and IR. My subject was about 50 feet away in the dark, and the IR lights lit up and captured that little rascal perfectly.-- Handy time/date stamp with temperature (in both C and F).-- It's water-resistant, but not water-PROOF. That means it can handle condensation, rain, and probably sprinklers. But don't throw it overboard and expect it to live.-- It has a RGB composite video out (cable included) for watching on an old-school television. Hard to find monitors with those ports today.-- Adjustable motion sensing capability.-- Comes with a positionable metal mounting bracket, and the camera body has a standard tripod mount housing.-- Also comes with a handy strap with a spring-loaded fastener for attaching the unit to a pole or tree. That's what we used. Worked great.-- USB port (and short cable) included for transferring data if you don't have an SD port on your computer. We used a micro-SD adapter.CONS:-- The manual isn't the greatest, but it isn't terrible either. Would be nice to see some illustrations. Most of the setup is self-explanatory via the menus.-- You will need to provide your own micro-SD card. It says it takes up to 256gb, and after formatting it, my 128gb worked perfectly. The product description states " Game camera would automatically overwrite the previous recordings with new files when the memory card is full." However, the manual states "If the capacity of the memory card is full, the camera will stop recording..." Would be nice to know what really happens.-- It does take 8 AA batteries, or there is an option for a 6V/1.5A DC adapter if you have access to DC or converted AC power. I left it on outside in about 60 degree weather overnight. It took 8 photos and 8 10-second videos, and the battery was about 75% in the morning. You'll probably need lithium batteries if you don't want to change these every few days.UPDATE 01.16.2020We used this for our first paranormal investigation at an old hardware store/mortuary. We have some expensive full-spectrum and thermal cameras. But THIS camera caught more orbs and artifacts than any other camera! Plus, it captures the most audible EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon) we've ever heard. This thing is a little piece of magic. Just ordered a second one.Batteries ran for about 200 minutes of 4K video with IR before I got nervous and replaced them with an AC adapter (this one works perfectly https://amzn.to/2Nysn89)Couple crazy things I noticed:1. When recording continuous video (it allows up to 10 mins upon a motion event), the unit gets hot. I think ours got up to 118F. It displays this temperature on-screen, so there's not much isolation between the circuitry and the thermometer. Makes that measurement a little unreliable. Video looks great for the most part, but...2. At 4K video with a super fast Samsung micro-SD card, you may see dropped frames. Our video recordings would randomly black out momentarily, then come back. Could be the high temperature or data rate, I'm not sure. It's about 4.5 stars.

Lock won't fit
Someone stole my first trail cam so I replaced it with a set of cheaper cameras and got locks. The locks work great the cameras not so much so I got this figuring it will do the job.The holes for locking the camera in place (to prevent theft) are too small for the locks I have.I have the tools needed to make the holes biggger so I'll be doing that.Still. The lock strap holes are too small to be useful as is.

excellent image quality not bothers by bad weather!
I purchased Due to a suspected thief on my farm. So far, I have captured a great vast amount of wildlife and of course the occasional cow. The picture quality is excellent and I love that I was able to conceal this camera from potential criminals.I am very pleased that I spent the extra money on this camera do you to the outstanding image quality! Should a criminal ever cross paths with this camera, I have no doubt their photographs will be high-quality and very easy to identify the subject. So far it’s worth every penny!

Pics and video comparable to 300 dollar models
Two week up and so far so good. Overlooking a garage 50 feet from the cam. Trigger needed to be on high to reach out that far. Video and pics are great at the highest settings. Night bisons is way better than I expected at 50-70 feet. Battery life is good so far 2 weeks and still full. I used included mount, it’s vary light duty mount! Pics and video are in a wider aspect ratio compared to my bushel, not bad just wider.

Easy to use, good camera
Bought this camera for my husband for his scouting trips for elk. We tested it in our backyard it actually works really well! Easy to use. We are happy with it for the price.

Reasonable entry level trail camera with limited nighttime capabilities.
This is my first trail camera. It is easy to set up and program but doesn’t deliver on its advertised capabilities. I was unable to get decent nighttime clips without additional lighting (even at full moon). The motion detector is not triggered by rodents, even with nighttime lighting and at very close range ( less than 5 feet when set up at ground level). It was triggered by moths however. It works fine at daytime and to practice for a trail camera novice as myself - but you only get what you paid for.

Fantastic trail cam
I’ve been wanting a trail cam for some time to track the wildlife on my property. This was a great price, packaged perfectly and its so easy to set up. The images are super clear - I can’t wait to see what we catch on camera. Thanks for a great product!
