Surprisingly effective
I used 4 of these to ceiling-mount a set of Dynaudio Audience 42 speakers. They are well within the weight range, but are by now means light speakers. The stands are very solid, obviously make sure they're being mounted into an appropriate surface (wood, concrete, etc). Could you get away with mounting them into drywall using anchors? I mean... the stands themselves are rigid & robust which means they're not light even on their own (which is a good thing to firmly hold the speaker), then adding in the weight of the speaker itself... I'm not a construction guy, but I'd probably avoid drywall, if only because I'd be worried about the effects of vibration eventually working them loose. Was a total pain working with concrete to drill out the holes and screw-in the mounts, but it's very sturdy. Even with the volume turned up quite high, there's no buzzing or perceptible noise from these stands. I was skeptical about ceiling-mount stands, but these worked exactly like they were supposed to and exceeded my expectations.

Good solid mount for large bookshelf speakers.
Mount is easy to install and has a place to run the speaker cable in through the top and out close to the bottom. I was able to get 14 gauge to go through it. You do have to put all three screws in the top to get a solid mount. I put some KEF Q 350's in the bracket and it holds them just fine for my L/R surrounds. My only complaint is that the side clamps have a little slop in them so the speaker tends to tilt forward a tiny bit losing contact where the plate meets the bottom back of the speaker. There is a hole to put a screw in to keep it solid but I don't want to put a screw hole in my speakers. I will try some Blu-Tack to see if that helps. Other than that solid with no vibration at high volumes. Bottom line? I am buying two more for the rear speakers of my home theater system.

Doesn’t work for Polk Audio S20
Thought this would work perfectly for home theater setup but the clamps were for square speakers. I bought them for 2 pair of Polk Audio Signature S20 Bookshelf speakers but they have round edges, and I didn’t feel like putting 5 holes into my speaker just to hope it stay in palace!

Great for really heavy speakers to hang from the celing.
Love that these are the only available speakers to hang heavy bookshelves speakers but I'd of like to angle them just a bit more. Also, the part that touches the ceiling is an eyesore on white.

Needs a mounting cover!
These mounts are very high quality. My issue is that there is no cover for the portion that mounts to the ceiling. I understand that the standard cover that works on the wall mount won't work on the ceiling mount because of the 90 degree turn, but really, figure something out. They look unfinished when installed.

Good (only) solution for heavy bookshelf speakers when wall mount won't work
Got these for some JBL bookshelf speakers (ES 20 I think). Work pretty well. Speakers lean just a tad, as they are pretty heavy, but seem to be supported just fine. Installation took a couple hours start to finish. This seems to be the only solution where you have relatively heavy speakers and a wall mount won't work.
