Q: I see the fans connect to a fan controller at the front of the case, but how do i plug the fans into the motherboard?

The front controllers are connected to the motherboard through a USB 3.0 cable. The fans are already connected to the front panel, so all you have to do is Daisy chain the fans to each other and plug the USB 3.0 cable to the motherboard

Q: Is the fan controller worth using instead of the mobo?

I use it. There are 3 speeds, when I am doing some heavy gaming, I set my fans to max, otherwise I leave them on the medium setting.

Q: No light like the P400S?

This version doesn't have the rgb but does have the fan controller. You need to get the p400a digital for rgb.
