CamelBakProducts Eddy Water Bottle, Royal Lilac, 1-Liter

I've had this bottle for about 8 months now and I love it.Pros: It has held up to wear and tear and daily use throughout this time. This includes dropping it on concrete multiple times which my previous water containers (plastic double sided cups with screw on lids and straws) did not survive intact at all.I have not had to replace the bite valve or straw or anything else yet (although replacing the bite valve might improve taste in the water so I may soon).The loop on the top makes it easy to carry even with my hands full.32 oz size holds plenty of water so refilling is less frequent.Easy to grab from the passenger seat of my car and drink without worrying about spilling when I toss it back over.Wide mouth makes scrubbing the inside of the vessel as easy as cleaning ordinary drinking cups (as opposed to narrow mouth bottles which you need a specialized bottle brush to clean inside)Cons:The bite valve picked up a mildewy odor when I had it sitting in a mildewy shop for a week or so. It took a month and some vigorous cleaning to get it relatively fresh again.The coating on the outside will permanently mar from deet based bug spray. Had bug spray on and tucked it under my arm and there is a matte area on the otherwise shiny bottle ever since. Cleaning did not remove but time and additional wear have somewhat polished this to be less noticeable.Water left in the bottle in a sunny or hot location, or for more than 8 hours will pick up an unpleasant plastic flavor.32oz size does not fit in my cupholder in my car (96 Honda Accord). It almost fits in the top portion but not deeply enough to stay put.Top edge of container will drip sometimes after filling if water gets on the rim.Bite valve does not lay flat properly. Replacing may fix this, I haven't tried. This results in the bite valve getting dragged over and bumping into things I don't always want on something I am putting into my mouth, sometimes I have to wipe it off before I drink.Finally, I purchased this bottle based on the recommendation and experience of a friend who had a very similar but slightly older model of Camelbak bottle. His got ran over by a Hummer and he was still using it a year or two later in full working condition. If you want a nigh indestructible bottle this is a very good choice.

This is my second camelbak bottle (exactly the same) - I lost my first, and loved it enough to exactly replace it.Pros:- Full liter size makes it easy to know how much I'm drinking, aiming for 2-3 liters per day- Full liter size also awesome for longer fitness classes. You don't have to leave to refill!- Love the purple color- Never have had any leaks- Cleans well with bottle cleaning tools and in dish washer- No breaks, and I drop it alllllll the time- When my daughter's camelbak came, there was a defect with the sip part. I called Camelbak and they shipped us 2 free replacements right away.Cons:- Doesn't fit in most cup holders, but that is what you give up for the larger capacity. I think it's worth it.- Larger capacity makes it heavier to carry when full. But again, I think it's worth it,Overall: Fabulous water bottle. Would buy again and again.

A lot of people I know use different water bottles but I always come back to Camelbak. I drink so much more water with a straw for whatever reason. I love the 1 liter size -- I try to drink 2-3 daily and not having to refill constantly makes it easier. Keep yours in good shape by using it only for filtered water and fully disassembling for every wash. Dishwasher-safe is a great thing! We have four of these, two each for my husband and myself, and so we can always keep one in the fridge. These also hold up great over time -- we have a couple that are several years old and work just as well as brand new.My oooonly complaint is that sometimes the straw falls out of the lid which drives me crazy. You end up sucking air for one thing and then you have to make sure you have clean hands before digging into your water to fish the straw out and reconnect it to the lid. It doesn't happen daily and it can usually be avoided by grinding that straw into it's hole a little more.

These Camelback Eddy Bottles are study, well made, easy to fill, the handle is useful without being cumbersome, and I like the retractable straw top and the bite valve. They are easy to wash, carry, and the cap, bite valve and inside straw can be dismantled for cleaning. I recommend hand-washing the cap and straw mechanism in Dawn dishwater detergent; the body goes in the top rack of the dishwasher. These bottles are BPA free and don't have that "Nalgene" smell or cause the water to taste bad. We've only had them a couple of weeks, but couldn't be more pleased. We've increased our water intake several-fold, and we've diminished the amount of plastic in the house and cars. Love the color variety - everyone in the family can have their own color.These Camelback Eddy Bottles are durable like Nalgene bottles without the annoying screw off lid (with their flimsy 'cap leash' which always breaks). You can sip from them easily, whereas with a Nalgene you have to screw off the whole lid which feels like I'm drinking from a jar. If you're clumsy like me, having to screw off the entire lid invariably means getting a face-full of water, especially in the car.The *only* complaint about this bottle - and it's very minor - is that the bite valve leaks a little if the bottle lays on its side for a while. Not a lot, and it's very minor. If you're not comfortable with the Camelback bite valve, you might not like it, but I've got plenty of Camelback products and never been dissatisfied. I have no problems with it, and I feel these bottles are well worth the money. In fact, we're so pleased that I'm back online ordering four more!Other commenters have mentioned proper care/cleaning, which is a good thing to mention. Leaving water sitting in the bite valve mechanism for a long time (e.g., weeks) can lead to mold growth, but the bite valves can be cleaned, sterilized, or replaced. Camelback has a very good warranty policy, and I can't recommend their products enough. These bottles are great, definitely recommend them.

Eine tolle Flasche, in die man auch kohlesäurehaltige Getränke einfüllen kann. Wir haben bereits zwei Camelbak-Flaschen und ich kaufe auch noch weitere, sollte ich noch welche brauchen. Ich kann sie nur weiterempfehlen.

Its a must buy for kids and adults.Absolutely gorgeous looking bottle, superior quality. Very impressive sipper.

My friends joke that I'm surgically attached to my camelbak! It's my second one (the first was left on a train!) and I love it! Easy to clean, hasn't leaked yet and a great way to get more water in!

La botella es muy útil, el agua no se sale aunque la tumbes, el plástico del envase es muy resistente, y, aunque la boquilla para beber es un poco incomoda, cuando te acostumbras es mejor que una botella normal, sobre todo cuando estas en el gimnasio.

Die Flasche erfüllt ihren Zweck und ist absolut dicht! Für warme sowie auch für kalte Getränke geeignet. Würde ich weiterempfehlen.
