Dockers Men's Fully Adjustable Braided Belt

Adjustable throughout the day, wears well, looks good
I purchased this same size belt maybe 5 years ago at a Dockers store in a mall; and I've worn it an average of one day per week. It is now starting to fray along the edges, so I ordered a replacement belt from Amazon. This replacement is more flexible than the belt I got from Dockers, and that addressed the only concern I had about the first belt. This belt allows me to adjust tightness around my waist for many events, such as: When standing up I can easily tighten the belt so it stays over my hips, and when sitting down I can loosen the belt for added comfort. When putting on a quilted shirt (say if the weather cools off) I can tuck it in my trousers and loosen the belt; when removing the shirt (say if I'm being more active) I can easily tighten the belt. I have a braided belt that does not have actual buckle holes all along it's spine like this Dockers belt has, yet I can adjust tightness with the braided belt; however, it is tricky getting the buckle rod (?) through the webbing and centered on the braided belt; plus, the braided belt looks frayed along the area where the buckle rod has gone in and out many times. The Dockers belt does not show wear around the holes where the buckle rod is placed. Of course, you can always adjust the tightness of a belt with holes every inch or so; however, each pair of trousers has a different thickness of material between the belt and your body; therefore, this belt with holes every quarter inch along its entire length provides maximum adjustability for every pair of trousers.

Replaces my years-old broken belt
I like braided leather belts. Dockers makes a fine one with many holes for precise fit. This belt is a quality item. The problem is that braided leather belts are a poor design. They tend to stretch out and the small braids tear. Eventually the belt looks bad. And you gotta get a new one. Just comes with the territory. I don't think there's a way around this with a braided leather design. But darnit! I still like them. They just don't last forever.By the way, stretch is a very strange thing to rate in a leather belt. If it's too stretched to fit correctly, you have to adjust how you buckle the belt.

Take Your Dad Style to the Next Level
Are you a person in your 30s or later looking for a "stylish" casual belt option? Have you given up trying to use popular slang because "rizz me up daddy, let me hit that gyat. Skibidi" doesn't roll off your tongue as easily as "gosh, these shoes irritate my corns. Can you hand me my New Balance sneakers?" Then this belt is for you. It holds up your pants, doesn't cut into your soft fleshy bits, and looks...it looks. In all seriousness, it's a classic for a reason. It works well with heavy-weight and lightweight spring and summer options, dresses up to a certain degree, and is a great casual wear staple. The leather feels of good quality, and I like that it has sizing holes pre-punched into the belt along the strap. This feature will reduce wear on the braid over time. Admit it: if you're reading this review on this item, you're probably old. And that's okay. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go pair some pleated khaki shorts with a pair of blinding white sneakers and white tube socks pulled up to my knees.

Great belr
I'm a big guy but my weight goes up amd down. Normally in summer I lose and I kept running out of holes in my other belts. With a braided belt I don't have that problem plus I like the way it looks. This is the only belt and brand I buy. It holds up well

buy two at a time...
I have bought probably at least a dozen of these belts over time... the first time I learned to buy two at a time.Love the fit and feel and look of them. However, there is a downside. The holes for the belt are the actual braid which really isn't supported for any 'give'. Over time you can simply bend over a little too long and the braids will wear down... then break. Then you put it in another 'hole' and.. repeatUsually I can make one last a year or so. I buy two so one for 'yard work' and one for going out. Once the 'strip' of holes is too long to 'fit' anymore.. I toss it, use the other belt that by now is starting to also do the same and buy two more. Why one may ask? Because they fit and feel good and look good too.I will still buy them but have bought other belts where the holes don't rip out so easy or not at all.Just bought a 'rachet' belt (different brand) but it was solid leather for the same price essentially. I'll use both of them but probably shifting to these belts as more of a casual around the house or running to the store belt with shorts. I know that once the first 'pop' happens and I start 'pulling tighter' you reach a point where toss and replace. Usually about 3 months left once that starts- give or take.If you don't bend over much or use it only occasionally.. this is a nice belt. It wouldn't last long on a construction site for jeans I would think.. unless you are a supervisor. Then again... nothing last forever.
