Fit nicely and snug just make sure you clean off any little loose casting rubber and you’ll be good to go definitely recommend

2008 Yahmaha R1. Poor Design & Quality Control.
Not sure if I received a knockoff filter or if the filter was just poorly constructed. I was installing this in a 2008 Yahmaha R1 but the locking tabs aren’t designed correctly and will NOT lock into place or seat into the airbox. You can see in the pictures for reference to the tabs the stock is on the left and K&N on the right. The outside rubber had fiber imbedded into it like it was some kind of manufacturing error. The inner metal mesh has rubber on the outside 1” or so but there was excess that was half shaved down and half not. For a $65 dollar performance filter I would expect better quality. I use a lot of K&N products and this seems to be a 1 off issue or a complete knock off item.

Make sure you take your time it has to be seated correctly to close the air box
Easy to install and performs like a K&N. Bike is definitely more responsive.
