Q: Do you have instructions about how to install it on the wall? I tried peeling it off and sticking it myself and it was a total disaster.

It took a lot of time and planning to hang this large decal on the wall. While it is removable, it's a one-time only remove, I don't think you will be able to hang it again. If you try with a new decal, have a yardstick, a level (if you have one), a credit card, and some painters tape on hand. Measure. Measure again. Use the level. Know where you want to place the decal. Use a few pieces of tape along one side and top edge to hold the decal in place. Now comes the tricky part. The idea is to peel the paper backing very slowly away from the decal, starting from one side. Once you have about an inch peeled away, carefully stick it to the wall, and gently smooth with the edge of the credit card. Continue to slowly peel and smooth the decal until the paper and tape can be completely removed. Take your time! Finish smoothing the decal with the credit card, making sure you don't scratch the design. It can also be smoothed with a soft cloth. If there are any air bubbles that won't go away, use a pin to make a tiny hole so the air will escape when smoothing. Check YouTube for videos. "Your mileage may vary," Good luck!

Q: How large is the decal?

The decal I ordered is approximately 33"x22". The same, or similar, image is available in a variety of sizes, for similar prices, from many sellers. Make sure you order the size you really want.

Q: My wall is textured. So I plan to attach this poster to a piece of foam board first, then attach to the wall.Any advice?

That should most def. work. I have mine on a cubicle wall (which is also textured but with fabric) and it seems to be holding just fine. Just be careful when removing the backing on the poster, the adhesive is VERY sticky and can easily stick to itself.Work on a flat surface.

Q: can you use this outside?

I don't think so but it MAY work in a covered area if you have a clean wall (like in a sun room or patio). Keep in mind that it is simply a photo with a sticky backing.
