My son enjoyed it for a few weeks
Loud, loud....loud, but worked and kept kids entertained. I have no complaints abouts the mechanics. We even dropped hot wheel cars in there, some with edges the claw would catch on, and it grabbed them. It's light, cheap, plastic, and it's going to break probably sooner rather than later, but it'll probably outlast a kids interest in grabbing little thing with a noisy plastic claw. My son enjoyed it for a few weeks, and I was glad when he moved onto another toy. I feel like I got my money's worth of enjoyment out of it. I'd probably be fun to set up at a party, maybe for teens, with a few nicer party favors in it (like for a girls sweet 16- put earrings in there, give the girls a chance to grab a pair) or like we did with the hot wheels, it kept the boys focused on something other than a video game. I think it eventually stopped working, about 2 months later, but I'm not sure if that was because it broke or because the boys did something to it. I've had no desire to repair it.

Definite Hit!
This thing is addicting! I wanted to give it to the grandkids as a Christmas gift but decided it would be more fun if they unwrapped it with items inside. I tried various small toys and different size candies to see what would work and what didn't. It paid off. The kids loved it. We found that the coins didn't always work but if you hold a coin in the slot and pull it back out, the game will trigger (putting in the slot seemed to go too fast for the sensor).

Claw Is Broken
I bought this and was very happy with it. Now - I can't get the "claw" lever to move it down. Any suggestions? It moves left and right; sound works; no jams...

Good toy/game for kids but cheaply made
I purchased this for my son for Christmas since he loves playing the claw games at the stores. I knew it wouldn't be as great as the one in the stores, and this is a cheap game price wise, but after getting it, it is made even cheaper than I imagined... The claw would not pick up a sucker that i placed in the machine. Lighter weight candy like gum or tootsies rolls its works fine with. The chain on the claw is very cheaply made-looking... there is 3 buttons, left-right, front back, up-down the whole time you hold on to the button, the chain is being rolled/pulled... (not just the one on the claw, but the things that moves it left-right, and front-back depending on witch button your pushing)... I expect it to break very easily because theres not a stop measure like in the real games at the stores...and you know kids especially young ones wont instantly release the button when the crane has moved its maximum distance in that direction.... the music is indeed very loud... and theres no way to turn it down. when you drop the crane it does not automatically come back up and go over and drop the candy.... you gotta move the levels back up, frontwards, over to left, and then lower it yourself.... if this was in a store and you had to put money in it, i seriously doubt grown ups or older kids would ever play it i know i wouldn't, but for younger kids is a pretty cool toy, just to cheaply designed/made even for a $40 dollar toy...

Great item for children and novelty for adults
Awesome product! Got this for my 6 year old who is always wanting to spend his money on vending machine toys and games. It is a small machine for sure. Easily will fit on a desk and still have space for you to work around but it was a good price. It does well picking up lighter items and candies. Heavy candy does not stay in the claw. The joy sticks are small but the children use them easily enough. It is slightly cumbersome for an adult but not impossible. The outer part is plastic, not glass and seems pretty secure. It's had a couple tumbles but no cracks or anything in the plastic. We don't use the coin feature much. You can hold the same coin and get the machine to start without pushing it all the way through the slot if you are careful, and that is usually what my son does to play. If you hold it too haphazardly while transporting, the claw can get tied up over the belts on top and need small fingers to adjust, or some patience turning the machine upside down and tilting it to get it free. These are minor nuisances and do not much effect the children's enjoyment from playing. I'm really glad I bought this. It's really been fun for the kids and the neighbors who come over to play.

Bought 2, neither of them worked
I purchased one of these and when I turned it on, all that happened was the lights flickered on and right back off. It would not do anything else. I returned it and ordered another one. While openining the second order, I knew just as soon as I opened the box that it would not work. There was no factory packaging, no plastic around the claw, no plastic coins, and no instruction pamplet. This item has already been returned once and the seller (DBROTH) had just put it back on the shelf to resell a defective product. I did install new batteries and give it a try, and nothing happened, no lights, sound, or movement, just as I figured. This was supposed to be for my sons bday. The only good thing I can say about this is that I'm glad all of this happened before his bday so there wouldnt be another disappointed child with a broken toy. They need to take these off the market, theres more bad reviews than good. I'm not one to normally give bad reviews, but this one deserves to be known.
