My fiance and I absolutely HATE the heat, but, living in CA, you don't have much choice if you want to do things outdoors.I bought 2 of these when we were going through a major heat wave recently. I like that you can put it over your head and it sits like a scarf and you don't have to fiddle around with it to make sure it stays on. I've found that to be the only way to wear that is actually functional for me. The other ways either aren't as effective or are way too restrictive (and ridiculous!) for casual outdoor yardwork.My fiance didn't want to wear his at first. So one hot day, after a long session of playing with my dog, i put this around my dog's neck. He doesn't like water: he doesn't like being wet, stepping in water, being sprayed, etc, and runs away whenever i grab the hose to water the yard, whenever i turn on the water in the shower, or whenever i turn on the sprinklers (even though they're nowhere near him)... weirdo.But, to my surprise, he was absolutely okay with having this drenched towel around his neck! And, instead of panting loudly for 20 minutes after playing, he only panted heavily for 5 minutes after i put the cooling towel around him! I was really happy that he doesn't refuse it and that it helps him, because dogs overheating is a legitimate concern (many k-9 units have been lost due to heat exhaustion.... really sad. look it up). And my dog has a tendency to not care about anything else when it's play time, not even his own health!!!(one scary example: we were playing in the front yard, and he came back limping, i was wondering what happened and tried to look at his leg. He backed away and just wanted me to throw the ball again. so i did. when he came back the second time, i realized a ton of blood on his foot... I was like OMG WHAT HAPPENED!!!? Turns out, he had nearly ripped off one of his rear dew claws somehow on the previous throw/return. To this day, I still don't know how it happened, there's nothing sharp in my grass! This claw was just barrrrrely hanging on. So here he is, limping, and blood everywhere; he doesn't care, HE WANTS TO PLAY!! Looking back at this, it's funny as hell, but at the time, I was freaking out. I immediately put pressure on it and we wrapped it and called the vet. He eventually had surgery to remove his rear dew claws. He's just fine now :) and still doesn't care about his own health. dogs are silly)Either way, This is awesome for my dog. plus it looks suuuper cute on him, looks like a handkerchief but keeps him cool. It was an unintended purpose for this purchase, but it turned out to be a really good thing for my pup, who goes 100% on every single throw, no matter if he's limping, overheated, bloody, missing a toe.... etc. It's my way of looking after his health since HE doesn't.OH, another use i forgot to mention: I had actually bought this as a gift for my dad who does go-karting. I remember he had mentioned about being so hot when he's karting (cuz you got all that gear on, helmet, full body suit plus neck padding and rib cage protectors, and you're in direct sun and heat, and you're on black asphalt.... yeahhh)So anyways, i was like omg, this would be perfect for my dad, cuz he can wear it under all of his gear and under his helmet! He reported back to me and said he loves it and makes it soooo much more bearable in that heat. So, there's another use for it. I got him the black one so that it blends in with his gear.

Soft and comfortable. I use it when I mow the yard and it helps keep me from breathing pollen.

Bought this as a gift for a friend who was using a bandana for a mask. He prefers this much better because it is more comfortable and also something he will probably continue to use even after the pandemic for trail bike riding or hiking. He liked that it was a plain color (black) and that he could use it not just as a neck gaiter but to cool off and as sun protection. I took off one star because when I went to the company website I saw that one of the co-founders is Drew Brees, that football player who was spreading the false narrative about taking a knee. I think if he didn't know what it symbolized he could have said *nothing* instead of helping to spread a damaging and completely false narrative that it was meant to "disrespect the flag and/or disrespect the military." If you don't believe me actually you can google Drew Brees and see that even he has since changed his mind and apologized. Obviously the damage has already been done. ugh. Why do people have to do stuff like that? If you are reluctant to buy based on this information I understand. If it makes you feel any better one of the other co-founders of the company is Serena Williams, but at the end of the day I dunno, I just honestly don't know how Brees could have continued to believe that nonsense as long as he did. He was in a position to help and he chose to be divisive and dangerous instead, ugh

With the requirements in most states now being that anytime you enter a store or go out in public you are required to wear a mask to cover your nose and mouth so you arent exposing others to your germs or exposing yourself to others this neck gaiter is amazing, it fits well, is just right as far as thickness goes as it doesn't make your face to warm and is almost like not having anything on at all. Allow you to breath normally, it is washable and reusable on top of everything else. It will also protect you from the sun which is just an added bonus overall. This is something that you will use regardless of the requirements to wear a facial covering due to current situation we are facing across the country. I had one of these prior to Covid and will continue to use these well after this all passes, they are great in the summer when cutting the grass as you can wet and ring out then put on to help keep you cooler as well as protect you from the sun. Its a great item to have on hand and you will find yourself using it a lot more than you would expect as it is a multi-functional item for sure. I would highly recommend as this neck gaiter is made by a great company and the product last forever if cared for correctly as I have had one of mine for 5 plus years. Care for them is simple as you can wash in your washing machine. You will not be disappointed if you pick one up and again you will find yourself using a lot more than you think as you will discover a ton of different situations that it can be used for.

I purchased this thing solely for keeping the sun off my neck while motorcycling. I decide it was worth the price of adding a few degrees to my core temper to not fry my neck. Generally I would NEVER wear anything around my neck while riding due to the heat but I became desperate.That said, when I received this I read the packaging and quickly realized this can also be soaked in cool water for added cooling affect similar to a scull cap type thing that I also own. Unlike the skull cap however, this one actually worked!I was really amazed at the hours-long cooling effect simply by soaking this in water first. The water did not run all down my neck and into my jacket like some other products I have used.There was actually an error with my order where the first one didn't show up due to an Amazon technicality. I purchased another, and in short - both of them ended up arriving. I was so impressed with the quality and comfort of this however, that I ended up keeping both.Fantastic product.
