Good Value
Pros:- Easy installation: Plug and Play; Just connect the camera to your POE ethernet cable onone end; the other end of the cable goes to an available channel port on your DVR. Iused Pure Copper CAT 6 ethernet cable. The instructions for adjusting the camera angleand installing/ attaching the camera are simple and easy to follow. The camera isdetected automatically by the RXCamview app. The setup was very easy.- Good Value: The quality is acceptable for it's price point. The resolution and imagequality are decent.- No Lag.Cons:- The camera goes ocassionally into night vision mode, even with the lights on. I haven'tadjusted any setting. All in all, a decent budget camera if you just need to watch over an area.If you are looking for a practical security camera at a convenient price,This one is an option.

Love teh Configuration - short life?
So I have purchased 6 of these cameras over the past several years. The first few were the IPC-D230W, which I believe was replaced by the current model the IPC-D240W-S. I love the level of configuration, I love that ONVIF and RTSP work without the trauma that you get from some other cameras, and I Iove that you can use a modern browser (or their configuration software - a little clunky) to configure them. The picture quality is good, and they look good at night. The original ones have been running perfectly for years. I have several of the newer models that went up painlessly. Here is where I have knocked 2 stars off. About a month ago, one of the newer ones stopped working, which is 4 months after it was installed. It is on a remote pole on my property, and I have had issues with bugs or frogs out there before, so I figured that was the case. It is not a super important position, so I neglected to play with it for a while. Then last week (5 and a half months after install) , another one stopped working - my front door. This is more important, so I tackled it this weekend. I broke out my trusty Fluke meter and tested the cable, all good, I tested the PoE,, all good, I checked the connectors, all clean and fine. So I took the camera in and plugged it directly into my test PoE switch - dead. I tried it with an exterior power supply, still dead. No response. So I figured I would go pull the one on the pole and see what was up with that one. No frogs or bugs - ran all the same tests, same result. So now, within 6 months of install, I have 2 dead cameras. All my other 14 cameras on my network, both of the same brand (I have only buying Anpviz for the last 3 years because I liked them so much) and different brands are working just fine. I can find no reason on my end that would cause them to fail.I had one new in a box that I was planning on putting up somewhere new and had not gotten around to it, so I swapped that into my front door position and it is working fine...and very fast to configure and get running. So now I need to try to figure out how to contact the manufacturer and see if they can help me. I really like these cameras, I just hope that I can figure out what the issue is - did I just get a bad batch? The two that failed were purchased very close in time to each other. I don't know. I will update this as I learn more information.

Don't Waste Your Money
This camera is a nightmare to try and get configured. Most cameras come with a static IP that you can just access with your web browser to manage. Not this camera....it uses DHCP, but even after you plug it into a network and get an IP address, you still can't connect to it without using their special software. Unfortunately my A/V software flags this camera utility software as dangerous, so I have no intention of installing it on my computer. Don't waste your money on this junk. There is no reason to make it this difficult to use their product unless they just want to force you to install their malicious software on your network.**UPDATE** - months after posting this review I am now getting spammed by this seller trying to bribe me to remove this negative review by offering me Amazon gift cards. The emails all come from different addresses and I replied to one of them asking them to please stop harassing me or I will report them to Amazon, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I will never do business with this seller again.**UPDATE 2** - 2 years later and I'm still getting harassing emails from this company to get me to change my review of their terrible product. Avoid doing business with this company at all costs and save yourself the hassle that I am dealing with. What a disgraceful company - they should be banned from doing business on Amazon. Customers rely on reviews to make informed decisions and when companies like this pay people to change their review score then the whole process becomes worthless.
