Inateck Goose Neck Hands Free Adjustable Stand,BCST-S

We recently just upgraded our system at our local small town business. We recently received a barcode scanner for our inventory and it was life changing. The only problem is the barcode did not come with a scanner. I immediately took to Amazon to find a stand for our barcode scanner at a reasonable price. I tried one before this one but it was too stiff. This one was our second one and it worked amazing. It holds the barcode scanner perfectly and the arm adjusting on the stand makes it ten times better. I seriously recommend this stand to anyone! It might not wok for all scanners but it works perfectly for ours! It even has grips on the bottom of it to make sure it doesn't slide around. BUY IT!!!

I use it at work with my cash register scanner. They last me about 5 years. That is using the 10 hrs a day 6 days a week.

Pretty fast shipping and exactly as described and fit our older model scanner perfectly which we were not sure it would as it's an older model and wider than most newer scanners. Ours is just under 3" in width from side to side and many that we looked at would not accommodate ours.

I must start with the fact that this dock/stand doesn't hold the Inateck scanner BCST-20 properly. The scanner "mouth" (where the laser is) doesn't fit into the hole where it belongs. The scanner "mouth" is just a slightly different shape. The scanner rests on it but I wouldn't keep the scanner on this because it can slide right off if the gooseneck is angled too high. I'd keep the scanner on a table or find a stand that'd fit it. Pros: - The plastic is quite sturdy. It has a matte finish so won't show fingerprints or dirt too easily. - The gooseneck is very strong. It feels like it'll last for a while. Cons: - The Inateck scanner BCST-20 doesn't fit properly. It rests on top but the bits that should fit in the stand parts, don't. I feel that this stand is made for something but was reshaped to fit current scanner models. - The stand is really light. It's not weighted down at all so it'd need to be screwed into something and they've provided pre-drilled holes for this. - This comes disassembled. You have to screw one side of the gooseneck into the scanner dock and the other side of the gooseneck into the base. My issue with this aspect is two fold. The positioning of the screw hole on the top side is right under the top lip of the dock making it difficult to position the screw driver. You have to angle the screw driver awkwardly when screwing it in. The other issue I had was after screwing the sides together, the top and bottom parts wiggled. I had to screw it so tight, I was worried the plastic would crack or strip. All in all, this needs some work.

I purchase this by mistake for the wrong scanner I had so this was my mistake. Instead of returning it, I just cut the top half of the holder and was able to set any scanner I had on it. This gave me more flexibility for use than for one specific type of scanners.

They hold the scanners but don't turn on when you present the barcode. Still have to squeeze the trigger every time. Is there some thing else that is needed for this?

Much better than average, right out of the box it worked like a charm even on difficult to read silver barcodes on aluminum cans. However, Scanner stand they try to sell seperatly to hold the unit is an absolute joke. Poorly designed and seemingly never even tested to see if it even fits, this product while not expensive is still a waste of money. It's more trouble than it's worth to send back so I guess I will say the stand and be happy with the scanner.

This stand does not fit, with the suggested scanner in this package. So why do I have to pay for shipping ????
