this shoulder although full of flavour , was too tough and difficult to carve. Will not buy this item again

This is about the fifth time I have bought this product and have been delighted each time. It tastes great but the best bit is trying to get really thin, and I mean really thin, slices! It is quite hard and if the slices are not mega thin it is a bit chewy .... I cut small bits (not long slices) and try to get them so thin they curve as you cut. LOL. The hard part is not eating too much as you slice it ......

Very disappointing. Will not purchase again.

This is the worse piece of Spanish Jamon I have ever had, more fat than ham literally and the stuff within the package made it taste awful. extremely disappointed.

First of all, I'm spanish. I know much of what there's to know about ham. This is a cheap serrano ham (not iberico), as per description. I can't fault flavour and texture, it was all pretty good for the price. The chunk of ham I received though had way too much solid fat content. About 30% of the piece was essentially solid fat. Very poor quality control and a sign that they were confined farm pigs - free range pigs have more marbled flesh.

It arrived as said; very well packed; flavoursome as serrano ham should be. If you are after the tasteless flavour of hams from supermarkets this is not for you! This is the real thing, a little bit of Spain on your plate

The worst part about this item, is that it's not eligible for a return. As soon as I pierced the plastic vacuum pack, my kitchen was overwhelmed with a horrible smell from this meat. I'm gutted as I love Parma ham and have had numerous joints in the past, but never like this one. Very disappointing and extremely angry that I have to pay over £25 for mostly fat and rancid meat and I cant even return it. Where are my statutory rights, if I'd purchased from a shop and found the meat was spoilt, I'd be able to return it, so why not with this item? Looking through the reviews, it's clearly a recent thing, but nevertheless, customers should have the right to return. So on this basis - Avoid this product at all costs.

As a Spaniard I just love jamon and have bought different varieties at various stages using Amazon, some better than others. Must say that this is by far the worse that I've ever purchased. Like a bit of fat with my meat but I've taken 57% (over 570g in the 1kg packet) in un-edible fat lumps and that's way too much. The flavour of the meat is far too strong and too salty. The texture is far too tough ... I do not believe that you could sell this stuff in Spain as jamon because people wouldn't buy it. Will have to try the more expensive offerings or wait until I go back to taste some real jamon. Not only cannot recommend but I would dissuade you from buying from this company. They are selling mostly pig's fat (tocino) and calling it Serrano Ham, because they think the British market will buy anything ... Up to you really, but I know what I'll be doing with my money.

Abbiamo acquistato questo prodotto un prima volta qualche tempo fa. Qualità ottima Abbiamo ,sempre tramite Amazon, acquistato un altro prodotto , sempre serrano e restituita per cattiva conservazione parliamo di questo : confezione integra ma prodotto assolutamente non all'altezza e oggettivante di difficile commestibilità due esperienze su tre negative ci porteranno a non acquistare più questo tipo di prodotto, jamonprive , tramite Amazon forse hanno problemi di conservazione su questa materi prima..
