How many coats does it take to do the job

It depends on how you are applying the material. If you spray, cut the material 50/50 with lacquer thinner for the first coat. The second and third coats are 70/30 (lacquer/lacquer thinner). Sand lightly after the second coat using 320 grit sandpaper and use 0000 steel wool after the third coat unless you like it shiny. If you use a brush to apply, 2 coats will work. Sand lightly after the first coat using 320 grit sandpaper and 0000 steel wool after the second coat. This has worked well for me. Hope this works well for you!

i whant to apply this on pine(no stain)will it keep the color of the pine? or will it turn it yellow?

HiDefinitely it won't be as white. To give you an idea of the end result, take a damp rag holding water, wet an area of your wood and that should be the final shade. It will possibly be less, but not more. It won't turn yellow unless you add 20 coats on it and if exposed to constant sunlight. You should be fine. That's my opinion anyway, let's see what other say.

Can i use this to seal a chair ?

This will seal a chair but it does depend on what you’re starting off with.

Can I put this on walnut wood for outside use?

It's not listed as usable as an outside finish. I think that it would become milky from the UV light. I would use a marine grade spar varnish or polyurethane instead.

Works like lacker is supposed to , recommended by "Sawyer Guitars" owner "Catch" .

Used it on a Taylor guitar that the finish got ruined on has 3 coats now giving it 10 days to cure before buffing out . A friend of mine "Catch" owns "Sawyer Guitars" company and is doing the work for me and Watco is the brand he recommended for my guitar . He has built guitars for many big stars like Billy Gibbons and many more .

Watco Gloss 63041 Lacquer Clear Wood Finish

Used as a top coat on guitars this product sprays and lays down well thinned 50%. At 75F and 45% RH its dry to handle in 20 minutes and sandable in 45 minutes. Gloss is just ok as sprayed. I have yet to try polishing

Nitrocellulose Lacquer Guitar Build Yes It can be Sprayed

I have built and finished seven Tele-Style guitars in the last seven years. I have used four different brands of Nitro Lacquer. Thought I would try the Watco brand as the price is less. It it is a "brushing lacquer" not sure why? It can definitely be sprayed and it sprays just as nice as any lacquer I have ever used. You will need to thin it. How much to thin can vary with what you are using to spray it with. I am using Preval Spray system purchaed from Amazon works great. I thin 65/35 and lay down 10 to 15 very light coats. One hour between very light coats. I have obtained excellent results with this method the key being very light coats no heavy or wet coats. The pics I have uploaded are a cerused finish on a Paulownia wood body and have not been buffed and polished yet.
