No, not at all. They work well.Great quality brush.

Do you put the foil on top of the paddle and your hair on top of the foil? I am streaking my hair purple and it is hard to do with just the foil.

I don't use foil. The paddle and brush is enough for ombré / streaking.

First came damaged- great customer service

My first order came with the teeth falling off or broken off all the paddles. Could have happened from shipping but I got a replacement 2 days later and it seems just fine. Study and the handle is exactly what my sister wanted as she is a hair stylist.
