SO Much Fun!
My home is a place of fun for a number of children in the neighborhood. They come to just visit the aging me, (WOW!), play my instruments from around the world, swing in my yard and hammock swings and more. Of course their probably favorite thing year round is to get treats from me, when staying or on their way to elsewhere. I thought this great fat variety box would be just the ticket for hot summer days or any days, using up a bunch of bottled water I had that was almost out of date. Of course I had quite some nostalgia for the Fizzies of my childhood, having been a child in the 50`s when they were created. Used the way I described was more than dreamt: an incredible source of fun, giggles and cool refreshment for all of us ;(even with a sort of high salt content, they stiil gave needed liquid SUGAR FREE to kids who might neglect that themselves). We would sit outside visiting while choosing and mixing our drinks, finding pleasure in seeing the water fizz and change, even mixing flavors for changing colors and tastes. (My favorite is rootbeer/cherry!.) What a great thing to be recreated, and, again on the sugar free, I`m a diabetic, so had no worries about sipping away!!! One other note about mixing them in clear water bottles: they can be recapped and stored in the fridge until wanted again, names can be written on them for identification, etc. I WILL BE BUYING THESE AGAIN.

Assorted 6 pack, assorted review
I was dismayed, and disappointed, to have opened several of these boxes, to find that some of the fizzy tablets were somehow wet, and ruined, rendering them unusable, and certainly not to be ingested. I have no way of knowing if it is water or some other moisture that ruined them. The "cherry cola" ones were black and gooey, NOT like Fizzies should be. It is quite a mystery, since they come in boxes wrapped in cellophane, within individually sealed foil packets. Also, some of the flavors inside each box did not match the flavor displayed on the outside--that was not such a terribly big deal, just odd.

A Flash of Nostalgia
I was suddenly possessed by an attack of nostalgia and looked on amazon to see if fizzies even still existed. They do! So I ordered a mixed flavor package, and a rootbeer package. They really hit my nostalgia-bone perfectly!Well they taste a little bit like Cool Aid which isn't the best drink in the world, but for something quick and fun, and best of all for a diabetic who needs such treats to be sugarless, I've enjoyed the fizzies beyond the mere nostalgia for childhood. I will probably get them again, because I find them additionally good as ice tea sweeteners.I also appreciate that they contain no aspertame, the cheap artificial sweetener that gave me severe joint and muscle pains throughout my body until the cause was at long last discovered. I gave up Coca Cola Zero and sugarless gum and within a week the long anguished months of nonstop pain ended! Fizzies uses sorbitol and sucralose for sweeteners. Even if I might have preferred stevia for being completely natural, it's fizzies for crine out loud, so be grateful.

Ah, Just like the old days
I was THRILLED when I saw this product on Amazon. It was so funny, because I had been thinking about Fizzies for a couple of days. Then there they were - wow.Okay, so there is some blurring of the facts when remembering those good old days from my youth, but I decided to give this product five stars anyway. Seeing, ordering, and then tasting this product invoked a mysterious, exciting, half dream / half fact state of mind. Pure nostalgia. Not so much yummy. Definitely not like a soda pop. But it never was that tasty now was it? It never was that fizzy or carbonated like a Coca-Cola or Dr Pepper was it?Come to think of it, I didn't like the taste so much back then either! I was more interested in watching the little tablets turn all fizzy and bubbly. I had to use two tablets back then also. One tablet was too weak back then just as it is now. Adding ice after the fizz stops makes it so much better. But I don't care. As a child my palate was not so sophisticated. Today it's much more discerning, but memories are important too.So if you have memories from your childhood that make you giggle and laugh when you think of fizzy's, go ahead and try these. Even if you just buy one box one time, your memories will thank you. Just remember, don't get your hopes up LOL!

Almost There!
Ok so here is the kicker... they work so far as dissolving in water completely, flavoring the water, and adding a fractional amount of fizz. For whatever the reason, your average Alka-Seltzer generic knock-off will carbonate a cup of water much better than these will. If they could get that part of it hopped up a bit, these would be 'the bomb'. Not just for kids either. Now for the flavors:Root Beer - GoodGrape - GoodLemon(ade) - GoodCherry - Okayish. Kind of chalky or something.Cherry Cola - Not so good. Not sure what to compare it to, but it's not cherry cola.Orange - Tastes exactly like Tang. Not bad.In the end, we used our Soda Stream to make carbonated water, then used these to flavor it... I'm telling you that is a winning combination. super fizzy and tasty. Something to consider. A big reason for this? Suprisingly, these have no after taste. Even though they use sugar-free sweeteners. Definitely a new one for me. I will be buying again even though I have to take a few steps to use them.I hope they make them 'fizzier' at some point. Would be perfect :)

These are nothing like the Fizzies of old
These are nothing like the Fizzies of old... these are horrible and should not be using the name Fizzies! They are nauseating at best. I tried one of each, the rest I've thrown out. Slam the FDA and bring cyclamates back. The US is the only country in the world that has banned them.... because their research showed that it was possible for a human to get bladder cancer from cyclamates if they had a 350 can per day diet soda habit. Really????? 350 cans of anything a day that is processed is going to give you some kind of cancer!
