The buckle broke after 3 months. I am giving it 3 stars though because the collar is outstanding with the exception of the buckle. The color hasn't faded at all which is a first for my collar purchases. The metal rings for the leash and rabies tags etc are attached very well and the coating on the metal hasn't flaked or chipped at all. None of the stitching is coming apart.My guess is the buckle might hold up well for other owners hence the 3 stars. I have a very active 1 1/2 year old 70lb lab and I live on a little lake. Because of this, the collar was subjected to quite a bit of water, sand and dirt. I have a feeling that if you have a dog who isn't quite as active it would hold up quite a bit better. If my dog was low key and just went for a couple of walks a day and lounged around the house, I would take my chances and purchase it again.

I bought this one to up size from my German Shepard previous one. I love the sturdiness of the clasp and the quality for the price. She is 3 1/2 years old her first one is not wore out just a little fuzzy on the webbing. She just needed the larger size to be comfortable. The only reason for the 4 stars is the webbing seems to not be quite as thick as the previous one. Same real sturdy clasp.

This is the second time I purchased the Coastal Canine Explorer collar. I got a new pup and felt she needed a new collar and color. The collar is the same quality of the previous purchase, which outlived my dog. Most companies cheapen their product, nice to see that the US made Coastal continues to produce quality products. This collar has a reassuring steel snap buckle for quick attachment and one hand removal. The hoop for a lead is separate from the tag loop, which I like. The reflective stitching reflects more light than one would think. I like the berry color on a chocolate lab. The Whistle GO is the green device in the photo.

Perfect for my dog. My dogs each have one of these collars in different collars and they're holding up well. I like that it has two loops for tags/leash, and the reflective strips are nice. They don't smell when wet either!

Love this style collar as it has the area for dog tags and a clip for the leash. Only down side is I bought this for my male dog thinking it would be more red. This is definitely more pink than I would have liked but the collar overall is great. Would buy again in a different color!

I have these on my two pitties. I like that there so strong and durable but yet very thin so the dog’s neck can breathe. Metal hardware is a must for my dogs otherwise they’ll break it in a week. This is the only collar I’ve found with metal hardware that gets small enough for Gyp (pic) and is strong enough that she won’t break it. I found one of these at a local pet store and just HAD to get another.

Love this collar. The clasp is very strong which is needed for my 100 giant schnauzer. This replaced the identical collar which lasted 3 years. It is reflective too for the late night walks. Buy it !!!
