I carried out the calibration process recommended by HP (about 9 hours) and the battery now shows as OK and the power settings work as expected. The battery life (first charge after calibration) is about what I got when my laptop was new. No signs of overheating or any unexpected behaviour. For a non-HP part I am very pleased with this battery.

After 3 months, still working well, gives 85% of OEM battery time.

Great value. Also had some charge, so it was used straight away. Would recommend.

I'm disappointed with the overall life of this product. I bought it in early June and by late July it was failing to charge fully on some occasions then since August it won't take a full charge but charges to a out 90% then may switch off charging intermittently until it reaches 98/99%.The price is ok so I'll have another one but I think I will not bother again if it's as short lived as this one.

The product looks good but it is too early to really judge it. It arrived early which was no problem as I used the Hub Locker. I was surprised that there were no instructions or advice on the amount of charging required on first use. As I had recently received a similar battery I used the advice from that but wouldn't have known whether to run it down or fully charge before use etc. Apart from that I am happy with the product.

Quick to charge and only just lasting about an hour longer than the one I am replacing (3 years old) battery same mAh
