Fits NP263XHD transfer case on 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 w/Duramax
This fit my NP263XHD transfer case on a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax Crewcab, short-bed SLT. You'll need the bushing tool (Kent Moore DT-48734) to remove the old bushing and install the new one. With it, you can perform the swap on the truck after you remove the driveshaft. More than likely if the bushing is tore up, you'll need a new slip yoke (I used Spicer 3-3-01683X). I used a new GM seal 12478093 and for added peace of mind a new 1410 u-joint w/coated caps for aluminum driveshafts (Spicer 5-3616X).

Replacement bushing for NP261XHD
Aside from what others may say. These are replaceable in rear half of transfer case. Which is why they are sold separately. Press out, press in.

Do not buy unless you want to drive your truck more than 6 miles
I ordered this as an extra bushing for safe keeping. I left it in the bag and no modifications or damage occurred to it. Then the time came when the bushing in my 263XHD went bad following the pump rub malfunction. I installed this with a new aluminum rear case halfand then put on the driveshaft. It seemed extremely tight and the driveshaft almost didn’t want to go on but I thought new bushings were typically tight. I was wrong about this one though. The truck was good for the first 2 miles then the truck started having moments were it would suddenly slow down and I’d hear a loud popping sound. Once I got home, I checked the driveshaft and it was smoking at the yoke. The slip-yoke was literally welded to the bushing. That said, I had to hammer the driveshaft out and the bushing came out with it. I now need a new slip-yoke and a new bushing and I’d be really dumb to buy another one of these. Thanks ACDelco, very cool!Installed with Kent-Moore DT-48734. The pictures show the removed bushing after it welded to the SLIP YOKE (Why the connection point is separated).

This is not the right part
I called the dealership and they gave me this part number, but their documents show a different bushing matching this part number. This bushing should have a hole in the top for oil feed and it does not so now I have to replace my bushing again a month later.
