The Simpsons Magic 8 Ball

With a different look and sayings, the "Magic 8 Ball: The Simpsons" is a new twist on an old classic. Instead of being black and giving simple answers like "yes" and "possibly," this version captures many of the popular sayings said by the large cast of characters from the Simpsons. From Homer Simpson's "D'Oh!" to Ned Flanders' "Okeley Dokeley," this toy gives the user over twenty catch phrases from the popular series. Although it's a great toy and sturdily made, my only problem with the toy is that it takes a while for the saying to appear on the screen. I had to shake it several times before getting anything to appears on the ball's screen. Besides this downside, the "Magic 8 Ball: The Simpsons" is a great gift for any Simpsons' fan.

Okay I admit it, when my kids were not looking, I had to give the ball a shake or two. I remember having the black Magic 8 ball when I was a teen back in the 80s and thinking it was way cool. So I bought this newer Red Simpsons for one of my girl, and my other daughter got a difrent Magic 8 ball. Yes they loved them. And they can not wait to take the Magic 8 balls to school to show it off. It is fun, and the answers are cooler then what I remember. So when ever I am alone and my kids are not looking, or are asleep, I have a good conversation with this toy, and they give me good and funny answers. The girls usually leave them in the living room, and every one who has come to the house gives the ball a shake. They are fun, and a bit addicting.

this is a great holiday gift for those simpson lovers. Although i do agree with the other reviewer who says that the questions will not respond to yes or no questions like it should. Such as "Thank you come again". What these phrases do is show you the characters favorite catch phrases are such as D'oh! I'm suprised and disapointed that they didn't have ay curumba! (Bart)

Not even an average toy. Collectable? Sure. Usable novalty? Nope. The die in the fluid always came up at a corner with none of the messages being readable. If you buy this leave it in the box!

Normally I love magic 8 balls. However this one is not very enlightening because the answers are not variants of yes or no. For example is "Mmm... Something" a positive or negative response?
