Easy to install and charges Li-Ion battery noticeable faster
Previously I had a 60A charger (same brand) for Lead Acid batteries and since switching to Li-Ion batteries needed a charger for Li-Ion batteries. I am glad I stayed with the same brand. This charger was very simple to replace since all the dimensions & connections stayed the same. As such, this charger was easy to install and charges Li-Ion battery noticeable faster.

Charges well and good customer service.
I used this converter for about a year and a half and it just quit. I contacted progressive dynamics and they advised me to contact the seller then the seller sent me back to progressive dynamics, it was a few emails but when it was all said and done it cost me 9.00 to return the converter back to progressive dynamics and I had a new one in under 2 weeks.

Compact and well made.
I bought this converter as a replacement for my RV because I have upgraded to Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries and needed the slightly higher voltage these batteries require. The converter is more compact than the original and actually supplies more amperage. Tests have shown it is fully capable of producing the 80 amp rating. So far it works flawlessly.

Pulls 18.5 amps from 120v AC...resulting in a charge rate of 78 DC Amps w/2- Lithium battery
Warning...draws 18.5 amps (tested with a Kline Clamp meter) from AC for a charge rate of 78 Amps DC with 2-12v Lithium batteries.Wired with 4 Awg welding cable. Wire length of 10 feet between the charger and batteries, for a total length of 20 feet..Caution: When this charger is pushing out 70+ DC amps...it will not run on my 1800/2200 watt Inverter generator.One more thing this charger needs ventilation...charger will throttle when it gets warm.

False advertising... research before purchasing
What"I" received is not the same as what is advertised. The stats are correct but what is advertised is the PD9180ALV... what I received is the PD9180AL. Still a 12v 80amp lithium charger supposedly but not sure if it's an older model or what the difference is but it's not what is advertised. Hate when sellers fudge alittle... may work exactly the same but who knows???Seems to be the correct item just different model number and appearance than what is advertised.Updated to 5 stars: Received the newer version. What is advertised is an older version.

Product exactly as described.
Purchased a new lithium battery for my 5th wheel to replace lead acid batteries so I need to replace my converter/charger to work correctly with new battery. Very easy to install and works very well with new battery.

Converter/Charger works nicely
I have 2 of the Renogy 170Ah lithium batteries and use the PD9180ALV to keep them charged. Watching the PD9180 throw 80Amps at my batteries is nice. System does as it's supposed to and super fast charging, going to add in the pendent next. Great product and a must for Lithium batteries.
