Great quality
I took these for both of my pregnancies. I could not be happier with how they made me feel and with the quality of the supplement. They leave absolutely no aftertaste and in the first trimester it really did help decrease my symptoms. I will always recommend this supplement to friends and family because of the wonderful experience I had with it.

So far so good
So i just received my first bottle of these vitamins after doing extensive research on them and loving that they are whole food based and all natural and contain so much more good stuff than your average prenatal (hello? how many have probiotics?)Anyway I just got them in the mail today and when I opened the bottle my first thought was "these are considered small?" The thought brought on by reading other reviews that said they were small and easy to take. However when comparing them to a One-A-Days prenatals (I had purchased them at a much earlier date and could not for the life of me swallow those things)... I realized they really were small. I took my first one since it was lunch time and had no problems swallowing it, super sensitive gag reflex and all.I have also read that some people are turned off by the smell. And when I opened the bottle I had to laugh. If you've never been in a health food or all natural store (And not a place like Mom's Organic Market, I mean one of the little ones) I can certainly understand why someone would be shocked by the smell.. It just the smell of natural. There's nothing wrong with them and it was comforting to me because I know that they are as natural as the company claims.I'd also like to point out that the instructions DO say to take three pills. But if you go onto New Chapter's website, it says plain as day that these doses can be taken at any time. Ive seen some women say they take all three at once. Because this is organic, it wont hurt you to take it all at once. The main reason they recommend spreading them throughout your day is because it more closely mimics the natural absorption of food as you would from eating a perfect meal for every meal. It merely aids in absorption. This being said, the three pill dosage also allows you to not take the whole dosage if you dont feel like you need so much. I eat a fairly healthy and balanced diet, so I will probably stick with only 2 pills. Which will also make my bottle last longer.Food for thought. Will update this after Ive been taking them for a while.***********Update********Almost a month of taking these vitamins and I love them. I love the freedom of being able to take the dosage I feel is appropriate for my body, instead of swallowing some huge pill. I take one every morning (and yes, I can take it on an empty stomach just fine, though I rarely do) and then monitor what I eat throughout the day to decide if I should take the second one. I usually always do, but I never take the third one. I have a fairly good diet, and dont feel that I need my vitamins to provide 100% of my nutrients. I feel great on these, though I cant say I notice a difference if I miss a day. I just like knowing Im not severely lacking anything major.I still have not had any problems swallowing these which is a miracle.

Better than taking 6 pills a day!
I just switched from Rainbow Light prenatals to New Chapter Prenatal. Three main reasons for the switch: 1. In my personal opinion, too much lead in the Rainbow Light prenatals (you can find the report online by searching it), 2. Rainbow Light pills are huge and very difficult to swallow, even though I took them for over a year while pregnant I was still having a hard time swallowing those pills, and 3. serving size is 6 pills a day (yes, 6 huge pills a day). Other than these three reasons, nothing wrong with rainbow Light prenatals, they never made me sick and my baby was born very healthy. Now going back to New Chapter Prenatals, which I started taking while nursing my baby: great multivitamins, they don't make me sick or nauseated, the pills don't have a smell at all, and they're much smaller and easier to swallow and the serving size is only 3 a day, so you can take one with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, the lead levels are lower in these prenatals. Another plus: no artificial anything, have you seen how many artificial dyes are used in the "cheap" prenatals? If you do some research you'll learn that artificial dyes can cause problems to the fetus. No prenatal/multivitamin is perfect and you shouldn't expect it to supply you with all your vitamins/minerals needs. That's why they are called "supplements", they are suppose to "supplement" your diet and not substitute it. Your primary concern, especially if you're pregnant should be with what you eat. Even though I try to eat healthy (no fast food and minimal processed food), I still take additional supplements to my prenatal such as calcium, vitamin d3, vitamin c... So far I'm happy with New Chapter Prenatal, and I even signed up for the subscribe and save program, so I can save about $10 a bottle by buying it through Amazon compared to my local health food store.
