It worked right up the end of the return window
The batteries are cheap so they need to be charged often. That's not a big deal. The plastic outer casing is the big deal. The part that connect to the keyring broke FAST on one of my trackers. The battery is still in it, but as it's now pulling apart because cheap and failure make critical failure. The battery won't charge unless you clamp it down... WITH A LITERAL CLAMP! This defeats the purpose as I am not going to clamp my finder to my purse tag -- it's impractical and no guarantees I'm not doing more damage this way. And now, right as I go to charge my family's keys, I see that my husband's key finder, the thing they are made for, is separating at one of the corners and starting to split. This also means that I am having a hard time charging it. But wait! It gets worse. If you are too rough plugging it in or unplugging it, splits form at the charging port. But wait, it gets worse even more! You can't buy individual replacement tags or remotes. You have to spend the full $30 to get one replacement item.If you're going to put this on a remote, don't use the strips they give you. get yourself a small command strip. Make sure you support the top AND the bottom (you can do this easily with only one strip) or you'll have a teeter-totter, and that's not doing you any good. Also, don't put it on the battery flap as it will not only prevent the thing from opening, but it'll risk getting lost. IDK why, but the one of my remotes, despite being in standby just as long as the others, rarely needs charging. I think it might have something to do with the fact that it sits near a battery or something like that. I'm not sure but the remote one nearly always works.I really liked this when I bought it and I was super excited that I could have an inexpensive finder that could be charged to save from buying expensive button batteries, but now, being down 1 full and 2 half trackers, I'm just sad.

Not fully rechargeable
I was a bit disappointed with this because I wanted something fully rechargeable. The transmitters are, but the remote isn't -- this isn't made terribly obvious, especially since the write up makes about not using batteries. The cover wasn't terribly well designed. Apparently no-one thought too much about how to pry the cover off the battery space. Pounding it on my palm didn't help. This came very close to being sent back. I finally found a pin small enough to fit in the crack between the cover and the rest of the remote. I store the pin in the box with the remote. This kind of thing is why I prefer rechargeables. The designers often don't give too much attention to the issue of changing the battery. I finally threw out a battery operated tooth brush because it was so difficult to simultaneously hold the batteries in, depress two levers, and push the end back on.So far I've only tried it out with my car remote. The beep isn't very loud, but since I generally have some idea where it is, I can just walk around beeping it until I find it. I can't imagine how this could be used with eyeglasses or a hearing aid. I can't imagine having the remote attached to them while using them, and if I could remember to put the transmitter on when I'm done with them, I can probably remember to put them where they belong. The beep is probably too soft to help find an animal out of doors, but it could be very useful for flushing them out when it's time to go to the vet's.I'm trying to decide if I should leave the in one place at home, or attach it to a lanyard so that I can take it with me when I go out.

Perfect for my Roku remotes (with modifications)
These are designed as "Key finders" but I use mine as TV remote finders! I've attached these to my multiple Roku remotes and it's a perfect match (with modifications). See my attached photos to see how I positioned them on the remote. Important to note: you will need to sacrifice your quick-launch buttons for this to work but, if you don't use them, then this will work for you, too. You'll need a single edge razor and 2-sided foam tape:•Use a single-edge razor blade to carefully slice off the quick-launch buttons -- they slice easily so be careful to NOT slice in an upward direction (which risks damaging your essential Play/Pause, RR, & FF buttons). Slice them down to be level with the surrounding plastic.•Place one strip of 2-sided foam tape from the top of the Finder to 1/4" from the bottom. IMPORTANT: Be sure to affix the foam tape on the side opposite of the alarm opening and LED light.•Remove 2-sided foam tape backing, align, and press down firmly. If your TV is on then you may activate one of the quick-launch buttons but in my experience with this setup these buttons will rarely launch even when you press on the attached Finder.Other notes:•I used a label maker to make a list of my remotes on the back of the remote base unit.•Each press of a corresponding button on the base unit will cause the corresponding Finder unit to make two series of loud beeps.I haven't had these for very long but so far I really like them. Recommended!

Handy device
The only improvement I wouldlike is to make the trackers smaller to fit better on items life ohones and remotes. Not really helpful for items like that but its led me to my keys countless times!

Highly recommend this key tracker set
I bought this because my significant other and I have a bad habit of losing both our wallets and keys which would cause us to be late for work, events, etc. We've used the key finder several times now. The beeping signal is loud, loud enough for someone (myself) with hearing damage to hear it easily. It is easy to pinpoint which room the lost items are in. The battery life on both the key trackers and the remote are good - we haven't had to charge the trackers or change the remote batteries yet. The trackers don't take long to charge at first use, maybe an hour at most. The trackers being color coded is also nice. Overall we are very satisfied. We can find our keys and wallets much more quickly now thanks to this key tracker set.

USB charger works on tracker but not main unit
It works like it should, and has helped me avoid fights with the girlfriend over "you lost the keys", "no you lost the keys". The USB charger only works on the trackers not the center unit, so you will still have to buy watch batteries ever so often (I was trying to avoid this with the USB charger).
