Amazing work on the LHP of the Temple of Set
This is a really great introduction to the Left Hand Path. It's a small book but it packs tons of data. This is one of the few books that deals with the concept of "self," and IMO this is a very important concept to cover. Most religions and/or spiritual groups gloss over the "self." But without a context of what the self is, putting the actions to work, could make someone an egomaniac. Don Webb deals with the nature of self by discussing an ever expanding concept of self (surface, medial, core and daemonic.)Chapter 1 deals with introductory material on the Temple of Set, on the Left Hand Path... and it deals with the issue of "self" (described above.) It also introduces some sigil magic and a bit of divination.Chapter 2 deals with Practice. This work can take the rest of one's life to achieve... But key things we can start doing now, would be to keep a diary, stay healthy, etc. A lot of what's covered here is to deal with the surface level of the self. Many things will way on one's mind, if they aren't dealt with and cared for. So this discusses that aspect.Chapter 3 is the Grand Initiation. This is an elaborate ceremony that self-initiates one into the path. A lot of care and concern should be considered before attempting (IMO.) The aspirant needs to be sure they are ready to burn off the old influences (which may include the destruction of icons of the old ways.) The ceremony spans many days... 49 days + the intro rite. The advice at the beginning of this chapter is to read the entire book several times before committing to the work, to insure one is in alignment with the goals.Chapter 4 is filled with resources, FAQ's and the like. It serves to explain some of the history behind the Egyptian God of Set, as well as provide other learning and reading resources for the aspirant. All in all, this is an amazing work that I have highlighted and cited again and again. I only wish there was a Kindle version as well, so that I could do "searches" for content.

Individuation
No this is not a guide on summoning demons, the devil or some other nefarious entities, rather the book is a guide with pointer on how to be sovereign , independent and more perfect . It is a path that requires hard work and discipline. The left hand path wants the practitioner to preserve and reinforce their individuality not merge with some puffy fluffy version of god head. This quest for attainment of sovereignty has four basic goals. Rulership of the inner world, outer world, royal power in the outer world and then inner world .Humans are like robots with the potential to become gods. We are creatures of habit reacting automatically to symbols. To achieve inner sivereignty we must break the program and force ourselves to do the opposite . We must mock those outer symbols that control usFor Rulership of the outer we must know what we truly like and what we are ready to give up to attain our goals . Not easy when it has been prepackaged and mentally installed on your brain.royal power in the outer world comes with identifying our fears and over coming them. Within this realm we realize that we are microcosms of a vast universe that has several levels. The surface is where we interact with the universe, medial level is our levelOf programming , core level is our personality and our daemonic level interacts with magical currents of the universe. There are correspondences in the universe . To start the intimate on this path there is a very long intimation ritual that comes complete with diary writing , purification and journaling. It is intense. At the end of the book are resources for further growth along the path. If you are looking to perfect yourself and become as a god then this is a path you definitely want to research.

Hard work is good for the spirit
I just started reading this and I have to say: keep a notebook by to take notes. I had to pause in the middle just to do that. You will do work in this book.

My second purchase of this book
It is worth every penny. If you are serious about Freedom of Thought and Action, you cannot read this book-you must experience it in all its glory, and it will open a new universe to you. No groups needed. Thank you Mr. Webb, if I can ever return the favor I will. This is my 39th Birthday present (I gave the other copies to deserving people-I got my use out of it at the time).I would say this has been the Gift that keeps on Giving. The only other author I like as much is Peter J. Carroll.

Straight to the point
This is a book I will read again in a few months or years. Has tons of info you can use straight up or tweak to fit your style of magic and or spiritual path. Definitely not for the lazy who are looking for a quick and easy "miracle " in their life. Gives practical applications for starting and maintaining a magical life. A lot of the advice makes sense even if you are not looking toward magic, as in chapter 2 ..."Practice". Sometimes humorous other times brutally honest and to the point. Also gives info on the Temple of Set if you want to try and join a school to further your knowledge. I liked the part on the Grand Initiation....much more meaningful then a couple minute ritual dedicating yourself to "the Dark One". Read it for yourself so you understand what I mean. Some parts were difficult for this high school grad to understand since it is written at a colledge level. See... I can't even spell college correctly. But something worth understanding is worth studying until you can grasp more of it such as this book. I am also reading and applying "Initiation into Hermetics" by Franz Bardon" which is just as hard to comprehend if not more so. If your responsible for your own life and want to read a book about the Left Hand Path that is not about hate . Buy it...just buy it. I'm done.

Think for yourself
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Very informative and great exercises for you to get started on you journey. Don Webb really pushes you to engage yourself with your own ideas and formulating your own judgement, and that is what every good teacher should do.

Bellissimo, lo consiglio .
Ho iniziato a leggerlo, meglio potrei dire a studiarlo. Chissa' come andra' a finire. Comunque mi piace e vincero' quelle forze interne che non vogliono.
