I am a DJ and I was looking for a powered speaker that was lightweight, small and had fairly good sound. After reading some of the reviews I decided to try the Pyle 8 inch speaker. All I can say is that it is a great speaker for the money!!It is not for a large area but I sure the 12 or 15 inch would be.. I bought it to do a small function of about 30 people in a small area and it performed flawless!! It is well built, so I not sure why the past reviews said it was not. This is not a high end speaker by any means. It is what it says it is and works well!!I pre-mixed my music and put it on a flash drive, stuck it in the back of the speaker and I had music. The remote was great as I could change songs if I wanted to move to the next one. I also connected to the speaker with my Samsung Note3 and played music from my playlist!I also put this on my deck this morning and played some relaxing music from my phone while I had my coffee! I love this little speaker and will be buying another!Remember, if you need a full sound for an area larger than a 15 x 15 room or so, this is not the speaker, get the larger one. Don't blame the speaker if you buy one too small for the job.

The perfect solution for my workplace sound. I use on the loading dock, around the warehouse, and at home. And it gets the job done for this, and I can use it for a portable pa when I want as well. This is my second, as I had my first one for several years, I bought the first one that anyone had seen, and it spurred literally dozens of coworkers into purchasing several sizes of these, and they are the standard sound provider at my workplace.I like this one better than the last, because of the Bluetooth capability, though the range is rather short, I don't have to run a wire to the speaker anymore. And I can't wait to put together a thumbdrive full of music and see how this works out...Very versatile!

This speaker in the 8" woofer is awful! How can I be so judgmental? I am a sound expert from sound boards, microphones & speakers. The best you'll ever get is a very distorted mid-range. I tried all kinds of music and nothing sounds good.Plus, in this speaker there is a buzzing defect. I used three different devices and all there buzzed. I will return this one and try the 10" to see if this works. All I want is a decent sounding speaker for the pool side w/o busting the bank.I will say, Bluetooth worked seamlessly. Plugged speaker in, went to settings on my phone and hit connect, then entered code.The woofer at best is 7-1/4". No, it is not 8"!So here is why this speaker should not be sold for more than $45.00... I have heard better car door speakers than this thing.I am sure it has to do with size, but we shall see when I order bigger speaker.

We really like it seems built well as a nice heavy magnet strong works well for us. Bluetooth FM a.m. radio, The radio doesn’t have the best reception but we don’t even use it, USB, on and off switch, Bluetooth built-in. Some have a Bluetooth issue or other reviews had stated the same.Other than that we feel this is a really nice speaker. Will update the review later.So far things are still working good the Bluetooth works and we have no complaints currently if anything changes will update review again later this is an update we’ve used it for a few months

Great as a bluetooth speaker and microphone input is great for karaoke. I found it to be plenty loud for indoor use.

Purchased 8" unit. Was able to connect to bluetooth (code 0000) with no issue. Sound quality better than a boom box but lacked bass compared to a 12" set of speakers. Unit stopped working after about 3 hours use. Both the iphone and RCA inputs no longer worked. Bluetooth would still connect but no sound. Interestingly Microphone input still worked. Am returning unit.for price unit was ok up until when it died. Will probably replace with slightly larger 10 or 12 inch model to achieve better base performance. only annoying feature was that main input was 1/8" not 1/4" larger models have the 1/4" input

great product, clear sound but if you want more base go for the next size larger. I don't use the blue tooth like all the other reviews say it does get choppy at times. I do use the aux cable more often if it is close by but I use the iHome rechargeable Bluetooth adapter if I need blue tooth as it seems very reliable, I have three units also use them also for the beat box by dr dre. The Pyle is very loud, I use it on blood drives in a gym with plenty of students making noise and it is still quite clear. Great product for the price,
