Nice tool for map. Have used many times. Kept for long time in my military backpack in not very good condition for it but it still performed very well becouse of it's good quality. Than unfortunately I lost it somewhere

Serves the purpose, should have chosen one with reverse bearing on the degree scale. But no issues, solid choice.

Great seller and great product! Arrived earlier than expected, which is always great. The tool itself is pretty sturdy plastic and does what it's supposed to. What's really excellent is the detailed instructions that came with it, almost everything you need to know about grid coordinates for the military grid reference system or the universal transverse mercator system along with two practice quizzes! Even more, the seller included a waterproof guide to the magnetic declination specific to my area! This company really does an amazing job and provides more than expected. Great value.

Great item - 5 stars. It's a simple item which does what it says. It has the two map scales I use most (1:25,000 and 1:50,000) and the protractor function works flawlessly and it's pretty thick, but flexible plastic. The markings appear to be laminated between layers of the plastic, so we'll see how they hold up or whether the layers of plastic delaminate or whatever over time and field use - I'm not expecting any issues, but I'll update if required. Delivery was a little slow but it was an international sale and the package arrived soaking wet, so I'm guessing the postal service misdelivered or lost it temporarily - no poor reflection on Map Tools at all. A simple tool which I will be modifying with the addition of a melted pinhole dead centre of the protractor with a strong nylon thread knotted into it for more precise measurement of angles/bearings as per many British Commonwealth military issue "Romers". Great product.

I needed a military protractor for a training class I am conducting next month. Looked around, and found this was as the best price. I'm always hesitant when I don't buy from a Prime seller, but was very happy with this seller. The protractor came in a few days, and was wrapped very well. To my surprise there were 2 bonus maps in the package to use with my new protractor! If your in a jam, and you can't get one of these at your PX or you are too far from your PX (my situation) go for this one. You won't regret it.

Other than the price...triple what I paid at REI in the US (where I left it)...this is THE grid reader to have. Note that USGS topo maps use 1:24000 so this cannot be used with them.

Marginal quality, though still usable. I guess the 1:50 scale multipliers are there because this is a "training unit", and as such, it does the job. Given how thick this thing is, you won't be talking accuracy anyways, but it could be used as a teaching tool, for sure Also, price?? If you check their website, these same things go for like quarter of what they sell them for on Amazon, which is not cutting it even as a shipping offset

Not suitable for military use, it snapped into pieces in my notepad holder
