Kicker CompVR 07CVR124 12-Inch 4-Ohm DVC Subwoofer

This sub hits HARD! I've had it for over a year (got in March 2012) and it has been stellar. I put it in my Buick Park Avenue, which is a pretty large vehicle, and with my amp it could wake up the neighborhood as I go by! It's almost too loud, and I love bass.The last subwoofer I had was a 10 inch JL Audio, which was also good, but if you're looking for the super bass definitely go for the 12 inch (on the flip side, if you're just looking to upgrade your system but not wake up neighbors, go for the 10!). This is a trusted brand, which is why I purchased it, and I can definitely say they have won my trust even more. I couldn't be any more satisfied & I doubt if I'll invest in anything but Kickers ever again.

i was impressed, it was my first bigger style purcase online. the subs came in the original unopened box. when i put them in, i was instantly satisfied; before i even adjusted the amp. they sound good and have a great deep bass. i have a lower watt amp right now but im considering upgrading just to see exactly what they can do! good by and good quality all around.

Horrible! The speaker didn't work at all it was stiff inside with no air the box was a bit damaged but the foam protecting the speaker was perfect the speaker looked normal just didn't work at all

I ordered a pair of these to replace some blown kenwood 3010 12s in my brothers car. Wow what a difference. I run higher quality digital designs in my own car, so these are like little baby subs compared to my 9500 12s. But I am still impressed by these eating the 2000 watts that my brother throws at these comp vrs. I did notice that Walmart now carries kicker, but not the vr. So the price I paid for the vr here is what Walmart charges for the less power taking kicker comps. I plan to eventually get 2 more so that my brother can run 4.Update my brother froze 2 of these subs. He told me he was as a stop light at half volume and heard a pop and smelled smoke. I went out to take a look and the woofer will not move at all. I contacted seller but I'm pretty sure my brother is SOL. But they said to send them back, so hopefully I can get something instead of flushing near $200 down the drain.

I had 2 MB QUART 12" Shallow Mount subs before these. I wasn't sure if buying these was worth it because I didn't know if it would be THAT MUCH of an improvement in what I had before; I WAS WRONG! These are literally about twice as loud and have more range than any sub I've ever owned. Also, I am powering these with the same Rockford Fosgate amp as I was with my MB QUART's. Therefore it truly is the subwoofer that made all the difference in sound quality. If you are second guessing on actually buying these or not, don't waste your time; JUST DO IT! You WILL NOT be disappointed. The only problem I had, was not with the sub, but with the shipper. I ordered 2 of these in 4-Ohm. They sent me 1 4-Ohm and 1 2-Ohm. But they took care of it and sent me my replacement.

This is a really quality speaker. Taking it out of the box I immediately noticed the solid construction of the speaker cone, and surround. Kicker doesn't mess around, these are truly built to last. I've got one in a 1.25 cu ft sealed enclosure, have it wired in parallel at 2ohms, and hooked up to an amp giving it 500watts rms. It's a pretty fantastic combination, free of any distortion. It does a really good job on the really low end (35hz-25hz) and sounds great with pretty much all music.This is fantastic speaker being sold at an incredibly reasonable price. What's there to think about?

These subwoofers can definitely get loud.Their RMS rating is spot on, I wouldn't recommend exceeding 500w for daily usage.My main complaint about these is about their sound quality. Yes, they get pretty loud for the amount of power they handle, but they don't sound very good. They aren't the best subs for handling those low frequencies bass heads love. They shine in the 40hz + range, but they quickly fall off below that, even if your enclosure is tuned below that.If you want to get loud and you don't really care about low frequencies... These are a decent option.I used 2 of these for about a year. They were okay subs but I wouldn't buy them again.
