Good speakers.
Overall I’m happy with these I had some infinity kappa 4x6s but due to the 2.5ohm my headunit wouldn’t take it for long. These definitely have some more mid range but the tweeter is definitely lacking compared to the kappas. Build quality is solid and comes with everything you need. Would buy agin!

Very Refined/High Quality/Very Understated Speakers
These speakers from R-F have an very refined, understated quality to them. Nothing flashy to look at like some other brands, but hey, that don't mean anything; or it means that they have quality where it counts - SOUND quality. They are just about as compact a 2-way car speaker as you're gonna find. The mounting surface (lip) and the four mounting holes around the perimeter have just enough of a footprint to get the job done, and barely nothing more. What's more is the tweeter is so far countersunk down near the woofer's center that you will never ever have to worry about it interfering with your car's plastic door covers or anything else for that matter. In fact, the first time I looked them over, I thought they didn't even have tweeters! "Where's the tweeter?" "Oh, there it is!"Sound quality-wise. What can I say? These speakers have a very natural sound, but since they are so small (5 1/4 in.), they just can't pump out very much bass. But that's OK. I have some 6X9's for that job.Show me another speaker manufacturer that makes higher quality speakers at a lower price, and I'll gladly throw these in the trash bin and buy those. Highly Recommended!!!

Great speakers for a great price
I installed these in a '99 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Where this specific vehicle is concerned, these points are important here...1) They fit in the front doors without issue, but you will need to drill new holes. I just drilled a couple holes and used the factory screws in the new holes. Worked fine. And 2) In the rear, they do fit in the headliner mounting locations just fine without modifications, BUT... the speaker holes are a tiny bit closer together than the factory screw holes. You can get the in, but the screws will go in at a small angle. It's kind of a pain, but it'll work. Mine seem fine.As for the speakers themselves, these by themselves aren't going to give you massive bass or anything. They can get loud and they can deliver a full range, but you can definitely hear them bottoming out when they get too loud or overloaded. They're just fine by themselves at moderate levels, but don't expect earth-shattering audio at very high volumes when used alone. Really, these are intended for use with a full system with a proper crossover and sub. That's going to be true of any speaker this size. But if you're like me and just want to replace some broken factory speakers and get some decent sound in the vehicle, these are a great choice.

Just upgraded front speakers only. Plug and play. My music is twice as loud as stock speakers. Only thing is the metal mesh covers that come with the speakers don't fit halrey faring but totally worth the price.

Great sounding speaker
These are my second set of Rockford Fosgate speakers.....so I was familiar with the sound...These were put in our travel trailer because the speakers it came with were pretty lousy.....I really can't give Rockford Fosgate speakers enough praise, they sound wonderful..I read one review it said they are just 5.25 inch inexpensive speakers so don't expect any miracles...so understand that they are just entry level speakers under $40 dollars a pair... but they do sound good for the price and also with rubber surrounds instead of foam surrounds they will probably last a little longer also..My opinion is that rubber surrounds sound better than foam...you will see rubber surrounds instead of foam on most of the high end speakers so their must be a reason for that...So for the price the quality is really up there both in the quality of the materials used and in the sound quality....

Sounds great, & Easy to install
Put these in my 2007 chevy silverado classic pick-up's front doors.they sound great, especially considering the price, & they work well with the stock head unit.if you are going to be putting them in a chevy/ GM product, you will most likely need a adapter/ wire harness, but those are super cheap and also available on amazon.no problems yet, and glad that i chose these.

Rockford Fosgate R1525X2 Prime 5.25-Inch Full Range Coaxial Speaker - Set of 2
Sound quality is average with a Alpine power pack powering it. Bass isn't that great, this is a entry level speaker set. Install is easy, but a PITA, because the screw holes aren't open ends. So you can't use the screws that come with and have to source your own. Also you need to install speakers with the screws going in diagonally. If the screw holes were open ends? You could use the included screws and the install would be easier.

Adequate speakers for an old car
I am no audiophile so they sound fine to me. I put them in the doors of a 1971 MGB. They needed to be thin to fit and these fit the bill just fine. They came with all the hardware I needed and the speaker wire in much longer length than necessary for my application. I play mostly 50s and 60s rock and pop so they work fine for me. If you want obnoxious window rattling base they may not be what you want.
