Great system - excellent price!!!
Bought this looking for a cost effective and easy to program door control package. Read a lot of reviews from Amazon and was bracing to decipher their software. Surprisingly, after just a little testing I got the system fully functional quickly. The software worked with windows 10 without issue and is very easy to use. I saw that it would work with my garage door opener and had to figure that out without any online guides. But I got it working and this thing is rock solid. My use - opens the exterior garage door and secures the interior door from my garage into my house. This allows my children to easily access the house but keeps our house secure. Wife complained about leaving the interior garage door unlocked at night. Bought small round prox disks that stick to the back of the children's phones. The disks are under the cell phone cover so no one knows they are there. Kids love the system and wife is very happy with the improved security. Win/WIN.Door Controller - UHPPOTE (this system)Door Reader - 2x used HID sensors (exterior garage door and inside the garage for the interior door)Interior Door Electric Strike - UHPPOTE (super easy to install and well built)Garage Door - just connected it directly to the garage door control screws.NOTE - this package does not include a backup battery. I elected to plug it into a large UPS instead.

Wiegand Access Board Not As Shown
The UHPPOTE Power Supply Box Input AC110V Output 12VDC box was provided as shown in the photo. However the Wiegand 26-40 bit Access Control Board had a different configuration. The configuration has the Ethernet cable comes out the side toward the transformer. Will be hard to manage the cable to not become heated. The Ethernet cable as shown on the Amazon site is easer to plug in and manage. The power in cables are located on the top instead of the side toward the Wiegand board, The photo provided on Amazon shows the controller connections on 2 on top and 2 on bottom which make it an easier and cleaner wiring install. The installation instructions, ever so minimal, are for the board in the Amazon photo not the board that is provided. There is an instruction manual for the software provided and the manual seems quite extensive. We already have the system so I do not need to use the program or manual. We have several already in operation so I understand what the differences between the two Wiegand access boards are.

Awesome controller, but not for beginners and it will take some work to make it work
This is the ultimate low cost access control system. Im running 2 of these with the accessory fire alarm boards and can do just about anything I want from the software. Its a bit of a learning curve and there is very little support out there, you really have to hunt through the reviews to find the answers, and getting the proper software is nearly impossible (although the latest board I added about a month ago came with an actual working disc with functional software, which was a first)Has a ton of functions and you cant control 8 doors with $300 worth of equipment from any of the major brands who sell this exact same thing for thousands. I cant say how happy I am with it, although there was a point where I was about to give up on it because of the lack of info and working software.I am an electrical/ networking contractor and I had to work to make this thing function properly. Definitely NOT for the DIY'er

Solid Stand Alone Access Control, BUT drawbacks if integrating into 35-bit building HID Card
We used this product for door access control in a commercial building. As a Stand-Alone system, it works very well. I did not have the setup issues others had. The software is a bit of a chore to get the proper version downloaded and extracted with a .rar extraction tool. I definitely recommend downloading the latest version from their website. So, I was super happy with it for the price, UNTIL, I tried to integrate it into a larger building badge system card number who use a 35 bit, HID Corp 1000 card number protocol, that includes a facility number. This system uses a customized bit start and end point for a Facility ID and then another 20 bits starting at a later bit position for the badge number. As far as I have been able to ascertain, the software for this board does NOT allow Custom Facility Code and Card Code start and end points, or even support 35 bit cards as stated in the Description. Unfortunately, after running into this issue, I found a lot of customer questions answered that say it only supports 28 bit format!! That is a bit of false advertising by the seller. It specifically states "26-40 Bit". I am thinking they mean that it will READ a 35 bit card fine, but the card number will be based off of just the first 28 bits with no ability to add a Facility Code. If this is the case and I cannot modify the software to read all 35 bits, it is pretty useless to me because I cannot program in the larger buildings security cards for emergency response and cleaning. To be clear, if this is stand alone, and you are scanning in all your own cards, it will work fine. But if you are trying to download or support 35 bit cards, I do not think this will work. You essentially have to have all the cleaning crew, security and emergency responder cards in by hand, which of course they will not do, and or be available to do.I am hoping the manufacturer will enhance its software to allow a Facility Code and Badge that has user definable bit start and end points.
