ASURION 3 Year Housewares Protection Plan ($450 - $499.99)

AlthoughI have not had to use my insurance with this purchase so far, I find it assuring I have the protection just in case the product fails during the coverage. I bought an expensive computer from Apple, no insurance. Didn't think I needed it. I should have gotten the insurance. Nothing but trouble. So the price is right and why not add a couple years to the warranty of a purchase you value..

I am not confident in this legal coverage wording... If you purchase it cover, for example, an air conditioner and prevent it from molding or leaking, it is vague under the coverage terms "failures due to wear and tear." What kind of failures? Function of cooling the air is separate from the secondary job to say, not drip water on carpets or spread mold in the air.
