OUTSTANDING TOOL!!
Review Addition: I'd received a question asking what the ad meant by: "Tube capacity: 9-Inches pipe capacity: 2-Inches."Good question! Best I can say is "ignore that".As I said below 'It worked perfect to loosen a super tight flywheel nut on an 8.5 inch dia. outboad flywheel.'As my pic shows the handle has "300MM-12 inches" cast into the handle. I say "ignore". It works great.(Old review below)OUTSTANDING! EXCELLENT QUALITY! ALUMINUM HANDLE. STRONG NYLON STRAP. DELIVERED FAST. FIRST JOB: REMOVE 8" DIA. FLYWHEEL NUT FROM OUTBOARD. NEEDED 18" BREAKER BAR/7/8 SOCKET & THIS TOOL. IT WORKED EXCELLENT. THEN FLYWHEEL PULLER NEEDED 18" BREAKER AGAIN, AND 12" EXTENSION ON THIS STRAP HANDLE. AGAIN EXCELLENT! FLYWHEEL SHAFT/SOCKET WAS RUSTED, WITHOUT THIS TOOL NO WAY I COULD HAVE GOTTEN IT OFF. I'VE USED "RIGID" BRAND BEFORE, THIS IS AS GOOD. I'M VERY HAPPY I BOUGHT THIS TOOL.

ambivalent
Item was a bit larger & heaver than expected & a little hard to use due to unfamiliarity with it, the include instruction was not very clear, but performed the task needed. It slipped a bit when used but eventually held well. In terms of utility it is a relatively heavy duty tool & for smaller diameter items, or enclosed spaces it may not be the best choice, for me it was ok. Cannot comment on durability.

Must Have Tool!
This is a quality tool capable of solving difficult jobs far superior to the plastic junk sold at tool chain stores.

Great strap wrench!
I bought and used the strap wrench with one project in mind - to loosen the nut attaching a lawnmower flywheel to its crankshaft. I needed to do this because the shear pin had failed after striking a rock (which is what it is supposed to do to protect the motor). Needless to say the movement of the flywheel really cinched up the nut. The aluminum flywheel is about 6" in diameter and the cooling fins are a separate plastic piece so the only way to safely grasp the flywheel is with a strap wrench. I had to adjust the strap wrench a few times to get a good bite and even had to use an extension on the socket wrench on the 15/16" nut but I was finally able to loosen the nut and free the flywheel. I'm sure it was well over 20 lb-ft of torque. The bottom line is that this strap wrench worked admirably for my application and it cost far less than what a Briggs and Stratton strap wrench would have cost.

Could be designed better.
May work OK on larger pipes. I was attempting to remove an impeller from the shaft of a Goulds irrigation pump. The band would not grip and just slip around the impeller. The band is made of a slippery nylon material. Not the best choice. I'll keep it around for other projects, but I probably should have bought the rubber one.

Good quality
I used it to tighten my leaking swimming pool sand filter connection. It worked great . No more leaks. Yeah

Simple, but really effective!
Everyone should have this strap wrench in their tool boxes! I bought this one for a particular job (removing the plastic impeller from a motor shaft on a pool pump) when nothing else would work without breaking the plastic part. The soft strap grips tenaciously, and doesn't damage the part. Since I bought it, I've used it numerous times and it's never let me down. The strap is long enough for large diameter items, and the handle is long enough to give you some really powerful leverage. I've used it for everything from chrome plumbing I didn't want to scratch or mar, to tough really stuck car oil filters, to removing plastic locking rings on 2.5" diameter PVC plumbing. I can say that I won't be without one handy again! It's stupid simple, and works every time!
