Paracelsus: Essential Readings (Western Esoteric Masters)

Definitely essential and concise reading of Paracelsus
Definitely "essential reading" to understand the complexity of Paracelsus's thought and why he has had such in impact in the history of alchemy and hermetic traditions; and let us not forget German and esoteric mysticism. You can also understand how Paracelsus not only framed our understanding of alchemy after the 16th century, but also the core essence of German philosophy. The book editor has excellent selections, just enough to whet your understanding of the role played by Paracelsus in unfolding the mystical, esoteric and philosophical minds of our present world.

Essential
A great introductory guide to the writings of Paracelsus. Compared to A. E. Waite's 2 books on the subject this is a breeze to read. I do not mean that statement lightly, only that the content is a great educational tool to prepare one for the deeper mysteries of Paracelsus. Theosophists especially will appreciate this volume since Hartmann's definitive work is not easily attainable. The author of this book did a wonderful job and I feel this is a must have to any Paracelsian(?) library.

A amazing intro and more. you could spend years on this book
Before you even approach A.E. waites 2 volume set on paracelsus i would advise to read this it seems like simple intro but the subject matter is deep and pretty complex paracelsusis no easy read. go slow. he to me represents when science and spirituality successfully meet. And paracelsus who i would call a spiritual technician while using kabalah, pharmacology, Alchemy , chemistry , esoteric Christianity, gnosticism and a early version of psychoanalysis and mixing faith healing and orthodox medical healing as well All to successful results .
