It works.
By using this strap I did increase my CPAP score an average of 9 points over a 30 day period. It’s comfortable, and yes, it slides. I have woken with it displaced, but as it really is just a strap on the head how could it not? This works very well with a mask that has more than one strap, and pretty well with one strap.

The strap actually works.
The strap fits well. It's fully adjustable and comfortable. And it does keep my mouth from opening and drying.

Effective, Comfortable, Slight Fit Issue
The ResMed CPAP Chin Strap works well for keeping my mouth closed while using a nasal mask, which helped prevent dry mouth and reduced premature wake-ups. The strap feels comfortable and soft against the skin, and the material seems durable enough for regular nightly use. The only drawback is that it didn’t stay perfectly in place on my head. I suspect this is more about my head shape than the product itself, as traditional headbands also have a similar issue with me. Despite this, it still performed its main function effectively, allowing me to breathe properly through my CPAP without discomfort. Overall, a solid accessory for anyone needing help with mouth closure during CPAP therapy.

To small
I’ve been using a chin strap with lots of webbing that covers the entire top of my head. I was looking for a more streamlined head gear. I bought this chin strap and received it yesterday. It didn’t make it through the night with me. First off I have a good sized melon, it barely went around my head and the Velcro barely caught the other side to secure. This chin strap is not worth the money and is made for very small heads. I’m sending it back.

Used to be better before cutting costs…
This was the best chin strap available for years. I finally ordered a new one as the Velcro from my 6 year old strap has given up. The new design cuts cost my reducing the length of the grey strap. This leaves Velcro exposed when worn which is scratchy, catches on hair and collects debris. This went from a five star product to a 3 star product for the sale of an inch or two of strapping.

Packaging from same brand I get from my insurance
Arrived in packaging with the same name as the supplies I get from my insurance! Always an extra star for that IMHO, and will always earn me as a repeat customer Long strap adjusts to many head sizes, even my near-child-sized head. My doctor never brought this product up to me, so I was just curious to try it, and the pricing was reasonable. I had been getting more ingrown facial hairs and pseudofolliculitis around the area that the full face CPAP mask and straps touches my face, plus I was getting marks, so I had wanted to see if this would help. (Ultimately, what was most important was buying new headgear more frequently than insurance approves because the straps wear out and then I’d crank the straps down too tight to keep the mask on.) I don’t really use this anymore since I don’t always feel like adding an extra step to my night routine but I’m glad I did buy it. It does stay on and it does help with the issue that I did have. My mouth was also opening and leading to major air leaks and ineffective therapy delivery. Now that I’ve been on CPAP for about 18 months, I’ve gotten the learning curve down a bit more and learned how to adjust the equipment better and what’s important for a good seal. I still keep it in my medication bag in case I want to use it. It’s worth a try!

2 People Need To Get Fired
The person who designed this and the person who approved it need to get sent to McDonald's where they belong! How this thing was ever supposed to stay on your head all night is a question that would escape the brightest minds the world has to offer. I have a Resmed mask and machine, stood to reason that I'd stick with them for accessories. I was skeptical of the single strap design and boy howdy was I right to be. This could've been good if they simply added Velcro to both sides so you could attach it to your mask straps. It's the exact same material. Apparently none of the nitwits over at Resmed though about that one. 2 stars as the material is pretty decent, doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. I would recommend anything else that fits you. Unfortunately I have a melon head and needed something larger.

Short but good
I've had this one before, very slim (which I like). The velcro lasts and is strong. The only complaint I have is that it's not big enough. I need at least 30". This is a standard 26". Still using it until it wears out.

Great Chin Strap
Excellent chin strap. Exactly what I was looking for. Other chin straps that I tried were so intrusive that I lose my sleep. What I received looks like an authentic Resmed chin strap. Fit and finish of the product was excellent. However, I personally feel it’s a little over priced because of the brand.

Cochonnerie
Je pensais que Resmed serait une bonne marque. Mais ce truc est vraiment de mauvaise qualité. Ne tient pas en place, glisse vers l’avant ou l’arrière pendant la nuit. Vraiment un mauvais achat.

“Big Difference in Sleep Quality — Cut My Mask Leaks Dramatically”
I’ve been using the ResMed CPAP chin strap for a week now, and it’s made a huge difference. My mask leak rate dropped from around 30 L/min down to about 5, and I can definitely feel the improvement. The machine readings look better, and I’m waking up less groggy in the mornings. The strap is soft and comfortable once adjusted properly, and it stays in place through the night without feeling too tight. It does take a night or two to find the right fit, but after that it becomes second nature. It’s a simple fix that made my CPAP therapy work much more effectively. If you’re seeing high leak numbers or notice a dry mouth in the morning, this chin strap is absolutely worth trying.
