Works Great, Very Reliable
I've been using this ascender every day for the past week on a construction project. It's been extremely reliable and easy to use. I weigh around 165 and have about 20 lbs of equipment on me. I use a GriGri attached to my harness to hold my weight, but will shift my weight to the ascender for different positioning techniques.It's worked well on both static and dynamic ~10mm ropes. Even while the ropes are soaking wet, this ascender still performs flawlessly. Not sure why they have left/right handed uses, as you only touch the release when you want to take it off the rope. Might as well go with the cheaper option if you don't care.Overall, great piece of equipment. However, I will add that my coworker hasn't had any issues with his off-brand ascender he purchased off Amazon.

Reliable product
Very good ascender first any climbing activities. Very easy to use and works every time. I would recommend to have pulley and aluminum carabiner together for light weight. the whole system might be a bit bulky but when your are in an uncomfortable spot, it saves you every time. Totally worth it!

Be sure to read description (Left or Right hand)
Good product. I ordered two as I am learning and wanted a left and right handed ascender. When they arrived I discovered they were both right handed. I had gone off of the picture and not the description. Can be a little confusing when ordering. My mistake.

Works fine... if you have big hands there is a good chance you scuff up your knuckles.
