Beware! ... gender-based pay inequality
Easy set-up, easy rules, fun to play, but ...... pay inequality is ever-present. At several points in the game, males get paid less than females purely based on being male. When passing "Go", women receive $240, and men receive $200. The same practice holds true on a few Community Chest and Chance cards. At first I wanted to collapse the entire playing board and throw it in the trash, but then I paused and focused on using it as an opportunity to coach my kids to disregard the inequality rules. Being able to introduce them to this concept has been more rewarding than I expected. Thankfully, at the ages of 7 and 10, they were appalled with the notion of pay discrimination and quickly understood why we should disregard those particular rules of the game. But, come on!! Why would a game maker even create a children's game that included gender-based pay discrimination???Overall, it was a hugely valuable purchase ..... but not in a way that I saw coming.

Kid enjoyed information about inventors
Well presented, though wish this pay gap thing were explained. The best feature of the game is the updated approach to properties, utilities etc. Just a more up to date setting, where you pay for wifi as one of the utilities and there are ride-share moves. Well done. Information about (yes, female) inventors about the items you buy on each "property card" were a revelation. Kid loves it and makes the game engaging. No complaints. Quit being snowflakes - if you don't like it, don't buy it!

Hasbro meant to make fun of #metoo
Give this game to your liberal friend and watch them cry with joy. Give this game to your conservative friend and watch them cry with laughter. I bought this game because it's so stupid, it's cool. It's clear Hasbro came out with this unbelievable concept on purpose. It's meant to make fun of liberal women and #metoo. Their marketing campaigns will say otherwise but CEOs/directors of a billion dollar toy company aren't stupid. They know what a game that purposely pays women more than men to offset gender inequality, actually means.

Very sheer but watch out
I am not sure why they want to rate this weird Monopoly game for thickness and sheerness, but it seems some kind of slight to feminism, which is what this game is about. To begin with, if you are a male, you get less play money to start out with than the females playing the game. I was sheerly and thickly surprised by the rules, but the females in the family decided to allow the males to have as much money, but we were admonished that they earn less on average, which is true. This is a fun game and teaches a lot about how women have invented many things that you wouldn't have known about and is a good game to teach about things largely neglected in the schoolbooks but more and more recognized, and we do have a female vice president of the United States. I think the game raises consciousness but does it in an educational way that is not one of those pedantic lectures or something. I would say that we had a very good time and I recommend this game to people of all genders and ages as fun and a learning activity.

Wonderful
As a single mother and feminist raising a little girl, I saw this game and purchased IMMEDIATELY. It is fun to learn about all the inventions from women while playing game. My daughter asks to play it all the time, and although I’m not a super fan of the classic Monopoly, this game has made it palatable! My sister saw it at my house and bought one for her daughters. It’s empowering for them to see examples of major inventions from women.

modern renduring of a classic
Women are inventors in this new age of STEM science technology, engineering, and math. celebrate real discoveries of women and enjoy a classic game. this time instead of houses or hotels you have businesses. Men and women expect some differences in their pay with men benefiting more from feminist events and less from passing go. Business has changed so please purchase this board game because all is not what it appears.

Whining people are missing the point
I’ve been reading the questions for this game and everyone seems to be missing the point entirely. No, women don’t need to be given the advantage to win, no this game is not excluding people who identify as other genders. Imagine playing this game with mixed gender. How f- ing annoying is it that someone is getting paid more because of the gender? Exactly. Now imagine your a woman and that’s the reality you live in and not just a stupid game.
