Had NO idea this would be such a hit with the grandkids! The doll seems sturdy enough for posing about anywhere. The kit was definely worth the extra expense. The charming book explained the story and gave a beautiful page to document our elf's naming. Observing the strict no-touching rule will hopefully help our "Ella Tink" survive for several generations. The plastic window section was a perfect storage option. I was really grateful that I had read the book first. It lead me to refrain from what I normally would have done....take her out and let everyone hold her. Instead we read the book, named her, wrote it in the book, and set her aside still wrapped in the window. The next morning, and every morning through Christmas Eve, my granddaughters' frenzied search for Ella Tink ended in hysterical giggles. They each frequently talked to her, and proudly introduced her to every visitor. The 6 year old might have developed some Santa suspicions, but BELIEVES in Ella Tink! I'm already looking forward to the morning after next Thanksgiving when Ella Tink returns.

We love this elf and the skirts it came with! It added a little bit of extra festive mischief to our little elf crew!

Bought this so that my youngest had an elf and with the 2 skirts, we now can determine whose elf is whose! Skirts are adorable and fun!

Thankfully she comes with two skirts to choose from which is fun right out of the box and does not cost another $25 bucks. My daughter has loved her boy elf, but as an "older believer" she thought she needed a girl elf.The "believe" stuff is magical. For me as a Mom, the Elves kinda take the fun out of Christmas, its more effort every single night, take away from Santa magic and more heartbreaking reality. I don't like how "they report to Santa" and create more anxiety for the kids.Frankly, I don't like the elf or the elf pets and it makes Christmas about the stupid elves instead of Santa or even Jesus birth.I am seriously thinking the elves should be FIRED! I just wish she didn't love them so much.The worst part is I have made this mess.

My daughter really wanted to do this and I am so grateful this arrived so fast. Well packaged, all the parts were there. She loved the story it came with. My kid is blonde so I decided to paint the elf's hair with acrylic paint and it took to it just fine. Between that and the clothes I was able to help take something common and make it a little more unique to my child. Would be nice if this came with the wires inside. Doll doesn't sit super well on its own, and unless you buy the wire kit you can't position it anywhere, either. Pro tip, doesn't seem to be a major enough difference between the boy and girl dolls, so if you're getting desperate to find one or the other a couple things at home can make all the difference there.
