Seals up the bilge area of a boat nicely
Follow the instructions on the can, allow proper time between coats and apply it when the humidity is at the right levels (this is a key part) and this product works amazing. I redid the stringers in my boat, sealed it all up with a epoxy resin. Scuffed the dry resin to give the bilge paint something to grab and a nice clean surface (new epoxy meant no oil or grease that cause fisheyes or poor adhesion). This stuff covered in one coat, but I had so much left, I went ahead and did a 2nd coat just because I had no other use for this (a quart goes a LONG way if done right) and it left a beautiful finish to the entire engine compartment of my boat. Once it set up, you can wipe any dirt or oil/grease that drips down from your inboard engine with ease. This product is wonderful and easy to maintain. Just make sure you don't put it on in really high humidity because it will make it so it'll never want to dry. Follow that simple piece of advice and this product will seal up your transom, bilge area with no problem at all. Nice thick product that lays down and flows out so you see no brush/roller strokes. It comes in many colors to fit your personal preference. We love this stuff and even found that we liked it enough to do the floor in the shed under the go karts, race cars and lawn mowers because it repels oil and grease, which allows super easy clean up. If you are going to use multiple coats though, make sure you allow proper time to "flash/dry" between coats or it will seal off/over and never want to feel fully dry. Remember, this isn't normal house paint, it is a coating that is meant to repel water, oil, grease, or other mechanical fluids like antifreeze or transmission fluid. For that purpose, it works wonders

Easy to use and super durable once it cures
Easy to use and super durable. Keep a wet edge and move quickly if temps are on the higher end. I have in my bilge & anchor locker and after 2 years it still looks great. Also very easy to clean. It does take longer than I expected to dry so give it time. Don’t apply too thick or allow it to puddle. Very happy with the product. I’ve used on several boats

Great paint for a pool coping
We have always had a struggle with getting the right paint for our coping. It is aluminum and we had multiple layers of paint on top of the coping. After time they would chip off or just look bad. After stripping the coping, I was looking for a marine grade Primer and paint. I saw Total Boat and ordered the paint, but couldn’t find the primer on Amazon. I called the company and ordered the epoxy primer. Apparently it is also on Amazon, but I couldn’t find it. Anyway, we put the Total Boat primer on top of the aluminum (and on top of JB Weld that filled in holes in the aluminum), and we are very satisfied with the result. The paint goes on, very smooth and flows into the brushstrokes, and leaves a very smooth shiny surface to have water bead off of it. You must be properly dressed, and wear a mask/nitrile gloves because of the fumes, but it was worth all the effort.

Decent but could be better. Strong fumes, goes on thick, long drying time, no foam rollers.
Don't use a foam roller, it will dissolve it. It will also leave pieces of the roller on your painted surface and micro bubbles. Very bad solvent smell, glad I was using outside but still very strong even in open air. Next time I will use a respirator. Takes a long time to dry. Goes on very thick. Use a disposable brush, you aren't getting it clean.

Bright, high gloss finish. Good adherence
Great product. High gloss. Sticks to an old bilge well. But, be sure and apply thin coats. One part epoxies must air dry to cure. If applied too thick, the underlying part does not cure, unlike 2 part epoxies that cure throughout with a catalyst.

Stay Away from this headache paint
I've been working in the marine industry for 30 years. I have experience with many different products and I was hoping for a positive outcome with TotalBilge. Not so. A) This 1 part bilge paint breaks down your roller within 3-5 minutes of use leaving you digging out pieces of roller in your finish and having to go over it again and again. I tried multiple roller types and different naps all of which had the same result. B) It is 'stringy' almost spider web like when loading your roller and moving to your project or vice versa. Never in my career have I experienced this and it causes the applier to be hyper cautious when moving applicator. C) It leaves micro bubbles in the finish if rolled and not tipped right away. You should not have to tip this finish. It's a bilge paint. Unsatisfied with TotalBilge. Interlux Bilgekote for the win.

Total Boat Bilge Paint
Works well. I'm using it to paint the inside of my console. It doesn't go far, but it leaves a nice durable glossy finish. I used a short nap roller. I tried a foam roller but it left a bunch of bubbles. It skims over quickly, but it takes about a week in 85-degree weather to cure fully.
