Benjamin RC7710 Marauder/Armada

Labeled for Marauder/Armada but..........
I ordered (2) .22 Marauder magazines. They came in separate shipments. The first arrived and nothing on the packaging alerted me that this magazine was different. So one late night I decided to load some pellets. After several tries and failing, easy to do at 2am I thought. Applying deductive reasoning it finally hit me how to load this magazine.......no more loading first pellet from the top! Why the difference? Well, w/o changing packaging details this is the "new" version that will also be used in the new Marauder .22 semi-auto. So if you get one that won't load the first pellet from the top.......it's not you!

Love the rifle, the magaziness are junk.
Calling the magazines junk is an insult to junk everywhere. Had one last for about 4 loadings. Another didn't even survive the first one. The spring slips out of one or both ends of the plastic hosing and/or cog-wheel. I've tried two brands with the same results and with further examination, it is simply a a bad design. If you are like me and already have the "gun" then you are pretty well stuck with the problem. Good luck, and DO NOT depend on the mags.

you might just need to give yours a good cleaning, or maybe even change the spring tension ...
If you're just needing a working magazine because your current one isn't functioning properly, first look up videos how to disassemble these, you might just need to give yours a good cleaning, or maybe even change the spring tension which is also very easy to do. With that out of the way, I have now shot my Marauder a couple thousand times. How many feed issues have I had so far? None, zero, not one hangup or failure to feed. The Marauder is a good reliable platform, and this little magazine (at a fair price) is one part of why the Marauder is great. Give credit where it is due.

UABLE TO LOAD PELLETS
The magazine is unable to be loaded. It has a single hole access approximately the size of the pellet, but the pellet will not insert into the magazine slot. I compared it to my other magazines and one does not look like the other. I tossed the packaging so I doubt I would be able to return, but I would appreciate a new lid with the correct pellet insert access if possible.Attached is a picture of the purchased magazine and the comparison with a good magazine. This is actually the second magazine I’ve purchased on Amazon that I’ve had issues with. The first one was a really tight fit and had to be reduced down to get it to fit. The new one cannot be modified without significant effort.

Addition clip for .22 Marauder. Yes but...
This is an additional clip for the Benjamin Marauder for sure. With the same failure to index issue. Problem is two fold. One is spring tension which can be fixed by removing the Allen key screw and moving the spring to the top set hole then tensioning indexer to the notch and refastening the clear cover and Allen screw. Tension must be so cover removes from latched position fairly freely but not so that it is loose. Second issue is pressure between barrel engagement to rotary clip. They are just thick enough to cause tension restricting indexer movement. Increasing the spring tension helps push past this. But with much time it will wear in.

Nothing's changed
I've been shooting the Marauder PCP rifles for a while. I had bought this magazine before for about $3 less, but still a decent price. Then I noticed several of recent reviews said something about it being "redesigned" and having trouble loading the first pellet because it goes in from the back now. I started to worry. When my order was received, I found all of this to be untrue.Nothing has changed in the design. I got the same 10-shot rotary magazine today (April 2021) as I bought two years ago. This is the exact same part and the exact same quality. Do not worry!

Functional, but these are not the originals
These magazines are not as pictured. These now have a round loading port, not oval, to function with the new semi auto PCPs. Problem is these have a different loading procedure than the oval-holed magazines. These magazines work well enough in a 2nd Gen Marauder, but loading them requires a very different manual of arms. Internet rumor says that the hole can be modified with a round file to match the old style, but do your own due diligence.

Buy A Different Airgun
About 75% failure rate for these clips. The springs freeze, rendering it useless. There are plenty of other options with air guns. BUY THOSE!!!
