No more mushy produce or wasted money!
This thing seems like a gimmick at first glance, but it really does work! Normally, I would buy a head of lettuce on Monday and it would be all wilted and mushy by the end of the week. The Bluapple keeps my lettuce fresh for 2 weeks and sometimes longer! I just now pulled a head out that I bought 2 weeks ago and was able to eat it for dinner. It looked and tasted great! It has worked very well for avocados, apple, celery, asparagus, radish, carrot, and even mushrooms. I know that all of these would typically start to go bad a few days after purchase, but they no longer do. I have one of the Bluapples in my produce drawer. The instructions said one should last up to 3 months. I put it in there just after Christmas, and it's still working fine now (mid March). I plan to keep it in there as long as possible to see how much longer it will last. The instructions say there is a "square footage" effect; that is, you would need more than one Bluapple to cover a larger area. I think one per fridge compartment is good. If you want to keep one on the counter for bananas or some other fruit, I'd suggest perhaps enclosing your fruit in a container of some kind with a Bluapple. That way, the Bluapple won't be absorbing your kitchen's ambient air and should last longer. You can buy refills, packets that go inside your Bluapple, after these ones stop working. I haven't needed to buy any, but I definitely intend to when these run out. I've been wondering if these also work for things like meat, dairy, bread, etc. I think it certainly can't hurt to try. Most of my other refrigerated food seems to last longer, and I hope it's thanks to Bluapple because I'll be buying refills forever if so!

This Product Works Wonders For Produce Lifespan
This thing is freaking crazy, 100% you should buy this if you ever buy fruit or vegetables, it'll pay for itself in a month! Our produce has never lasted longer than with the blue apple. Lettuce that used to wilt now lasts for weeks which is well enough for us to eat it before it goes bad. It does wonders for apples too. We have a bunch of normal apples and kid you not they've lasted at least 2 months in the fridge! Definitely learn how to use your crisper drawers though, adjust the humidity settings, and sort produce appropriately by humidity. In combination with that and the blue apple your food will last way longer! Just bought a refill kit for the year.

Our organic and farmers market produce seems to go bad the fastest and I've been desperate to find something ...
My family goes through a lot of produce. Berries, apples, carrots, celery, greens, bananas and more. Our organic and farmers market produce seems to go bad the fastest and I've been desperate to find something that would help it last. This really helped!!! My bananas stay ripe without being over ripe much longer now. I've noticed the BIGGEST difference in my berries! My strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries stay fresh for over a week, as opposed to getting nasty and inedible within a few days of buying them. I usually buy from Costco, to avoid going to the store every few days but I was throwing out so much! That changed! I actually bought more of these because they're so worth it! The only reason I deducted a star is because this doesn't seem to work on my greens. My spring mix, spinach and Arugula that I buy in clamshells don't seem to be affected one way or another. I hope someday blu Apple makes a product that works with greens!!!

Making a little bit of difference in longevity of fruits and veggies
I bought these Bluapples sort of on a whim -- not really expecting to have much more luck with them than I have with the special bags marketed as veggie savers. I'm always an overly enthusiastic buyer of fruits and vegetables; but way too often they start to go downhill before I get ready to use them. The green bags that I've tried have offered a bit of an increase in longevity/usability, but usually I ended up pulling limp, soggy bags of unidentifiable organic mass from the fridge after awhile. Some of the bags are intended as washable, but I sometimes pitched them out for the grossness factor. While I think the bags are actually more effective in keeping produce fresh, these little Bluapples are better for me so far simply because I'm more likely to see and use the bin's veggies rather than let them get forgotten in bags. I prefer to keep most of my produce loose in the two fridge veggie drawers so that I can see at a glance what my options are. The blue plastic apple takes up little space in the drawer along with all the real apples and other fruits and vegetables -- and yet its bright blue color is obvious enough that it doesn't accidentally get tossed out into the compost with the past-prime produce. I like that the little apples are refillable with Bluapple Ethylene Gas Absorber Refills . Each refill is supposed to last about three months. When shopping, I'm still overly ambitious about the amount of vegetables and fruit we'll consume in a reasonable period. But, thanks to these little Bluapples, I'm maybe tossing out a bit less worn out produce into our compost bins.

Helps veggies last longer
These really do help. We get alot of our vegetables from our food bank. These help make them last longer

It works!
We would have to eat berries within three days or they would go bad. Now we don’t worry about them because they stay fresh. No doubt it works. Paid for itself in savings and then some.

They do work but...
You need to keep them close to whatever you're using them for. We have one of those wall mounted baskets and we hang bananas from the bottom with one of the Bluapples in the basket just above it and it does almost nothing for the bananas while working for whatever is in the basket. If you put the bananas right in the basket with it it works great. In a refrigerator drawer they're probably more effective, but we don't need them in there.

Simple and effective
I’ve noticed a big difference in the lifespan of our fruit since introducing these. With one in the crisper, I can get about a week and a half out of berries before they start going bad. I also keep one in our fruit bowl, and bananas don’t seem to brown nearly as quickly. Simple to use and actually effective. Just plop it in and forget about it. Highly recommend!
