Here are my two tricks for success.1. Buy NON-CHLORINATED brake cleaner. NOT REGULAR. Heat can mix badly with regular brake cleaner, releasing a very very toxic gas. Only use the non-chlorinated stuff for this job.2. With a rag, thoroughly clean all the metal surfaces where you will stick the adhesive on the weather stripping.3. Cut the strips slightly undersized. For a 20\" strip, cut it 1/8\" shy on each end. For a long vertical strip in the 40\" range, cut it 1/4\" shy on each end. The stuff expands the first time you heat it up. It needs a little expansion room, otherwise the expansion will pop the strip off.4. Close and latch the doors to press the stripping in place and let it sit for 24 hours. Then, run it on a high heat cycle with the doors latched for an hour or so to get it good and hot.
