Lovely tea
I was looking for a Lapsang tea as Twinings no longer do the tea bags. This is a really nice tea. Soft and smokey. The packaging is sturdy that you can't smell the tea through it so all the taste and aroma stay inside. The packet closure after opening is really tight. I just need to find a suitable diffuser now.

Good stuff on the whole
The product itself was very good, my only gripe is with the packaging. The reason is simply that you can smell the wonderful smoky aroma right through it, which means it's not thick enough and/or it needs a metal foil layer. Many of the smoke components are quite volatile and the packaging is clearly letting them escape. With something like Lapsang, I'm not going to be drinking cups and cups of it every day so I would want it to keep well.Oh, I tried it for tea-smoking some salmon as well and it was perfect for that too.

Smooth and Smoky
This is my go to Lapsang Souchong. Just the perfect amount of smokiness for my taste, fairly strong, unlike others which often disappoint with no flavour.

Flavoursome and refreshing.
Okay so it’s not quite Whittard’s but it’s close and a lot cheaper. If you want the strong flavour of Whittard’s then add maybe 1 1/2 teaspoons of tea to your pot (based on one cup). You don’t get the aroma of strong creosote so that’s a bonus and it’s very refreshing.

Not as expected
This was my second time purchasing the same tea from the same seller, however this time the quality was not as expected. In contrast to the first purchase, flavour and taste are very weak. Hardly any smokiness, can hardly tell the difference between a cup of tea or just hot water. Very disappointing, hence the low score.

Smokiness - read on
Really does pack a punch in terms of its aroma, as someone else mentioned it can fill the room even with the bag closed (not a bad thing IMO).Taste wise for me it is perfect ,although I am only an infrequent consumer of Lapsang Souchong. The tea itself appears visually to be of good quality backed up by its taste and the smokiness is present as a strong hint rather than an overpowering dominance. I really like it!

Great taste but 6 out of 10 on the smokey scale
Really liked the taste - easy to drink. It was not a smokey as other Lapsangs I've tried... I do tend to like the more smokey ones. The Fortnum & Mason for example was more smokey.
