I actually use this under my elliptical machine for extra stability. Works perfect and helps even out my basement floor.

Surprisingly good!
This is exactly what I needed!Lays flat once you're on it. Folds up easily and is compact.Some reviewers are complaining that this is as hard as their floor. What? It's foam. Their floors must be carpet. My floor is hard, and using this mat is like night and day. I wouldn't try to fall onto it or anything, but it's perfectly adequate for exercise.

I love the folding
Better than I thought, I expected it to roll up. Turns out I liked this more because I can unfold it for my gym bench, work out then I am done I can fold up the pad and put both the bench and this in the closet.
